I admire this guy for his thoughts. he does this even before after loosing finals against india, he handed over captaincy to Dilshan by saying, he will be 39 years for next worldcup, wont suit for captain his side. Hats off man..

Who is Greg to say to to sit out and who not??
He can just advice.

Greg's biggest problem was that he confused cricket with football.

In football coach is ultimate authority, wheras in cricket a coach is just a support staff.

Greg was the man who was creating all the problems in the indian dressing room then. Because of his ego and arrogance, even the australians kicked him out of their cricketing set up a year ago. He was given an important post but very soon they ousted him.

Gonguly is always a selfish man . He used Dakmiya Power to stay at Indian Team . He can't Run,Field,Bowl,Bat and Think fast. Pune is wining some matches only with some brilient efferts of individuals not for Captancy. He just Get into Pune becouse Mr.Subroto from Kolkata. Who is frnd of his father-in-law .

Sri Lankan's decision was a first of its kind. The author seems to have forgotten before this, Mike Denness of England even though he was captain and fully fit, dropped himself in a Test Match Against Australia.Of course it happened when neither ODI or t20 was played.

Heard that there's a lot of pressure on the DC team from the owners. Seems Gilly also moved out because of this and now its happened again with Sangakkara.

its written that sanga sit down himself out in this match if its true then its courageous and brave decision if lehmann wants an aussie to lead the side instead of sanga then its very bad scenario for DC.

It's obviously not true! , definitely lehmann prompted sanga to sit out..and such is the case with all franchisees...the support staff make the think tank of the team.

captains could influence what happens on the pitch. f.ex. field changes , leading by example, batting order (to an extent)...but outside the pitch it's the support staff. the decision to drop sanga was obviously carried out by dc coach.
