They are still not very good finsher of the game, They are very good betsman but not vary good finsher not just one or two good finshing make them good finsher.

i agree....they were never good finishers of the game...unlike saurav ganguly or yuvraj singh, gautam gambhir, dhoni and the likes...lets accept the facts!!!
Why are we raking this needless controversy around his book which most have not read as yet?Is it a crime to write what an individual felt for two players of his era from a country considered as enemy on field?It is his version & people who are offended should not buy the book.The moot point here is that Shukla who is a Congress nominee on board represents a party that takes no offense to far serious comments against the sovereignty of country by likes of Geelani,Roy or Omar & do business with them.Let a cricketer make some money by talking against an individual who our cricket crazy fans consider God but seldom performed against his pace & did leave the field after being stunned twice by chin music in the match he is referring without actually being declared out. Please don't consider 18 runs as benchmark for greatness or failure of the players in WC match. Many still feel that Waquar made a blunder to take Akhtar off after one over against Sachin who he got on the first ball in second spell with snorter that Sachin simply lobbed in slip taking his eyes off the ball.Sachin like all batsman too felt uncomfortable against genuine pace but that was not fear of pace.

Wasim Akram vesrsion for WC match - Reason behind Waqar bowling was Aktar said he cannot bowl ,he is not getting breathing etc....Irrespective of that This is cheap tactic to sell book same as some Ausis did in their biography (I wonder this is conditions from Publishers to all cricketers while writing Biography to add some controversy).There are so many matches where Aktar looked ordinary against Viru and Sachin ( Tests & ODIs) so no point in commenting on the nonsense .
It is the sensationalising-everything-for-the-sake-of-TRPs-Indian media, especially the TV news channels, who should have ignored the barbs of a failed chucker in his so called biography which would perhaps not sell even in his own backyard.
Shoeb Akhtar did not make Tendulkar and Dravid stars.... they became stars by their own deeds and therefore a failure sportsperson cannot insult them ....!
Don't give importance to Shoeb Akhtar who himself feared to continue bowling after hit fiercefully by Tendulkar in South Africa during world cup. The fact was revealed by Captain of Pakistan Waqar Younus revealed it.
Before Akshtar could apologize, I want to know who are those secular politicians and people in India who were part of this rubbish book launch in Delhi. Finally it had to be some communal rulers at Mumbai who thought that this book launch should be cancelled because it targetted Sachin personally. Why doesn't this Govt understand ? Every time they allows these Pakistani players and politicians to India, they bring with them a cache of arms and this compromises on our country's security. Cannot trust these people. Who are those secular folks who sought to ignore the sacrifices made by our soliders and allowed for publishing this rubbish book ? Was a call made to Diggy Raja.

His book wouldnt have got so much publicity had our cricket/sachin obsessed nation not over re-acted on this petty issue.If Sachin does not need any certificate from Shoaib then why are we reacting at all.Luks like shukla/Bcci has some commission on the sale of his book and are giving him un-due publicity.

Javed, we are shouting about an Paki bark1ng on Indians and nothing else. If experts need to criticize our people, we are welcome. But we have some self respect left in us to reject any so called opinion of a fraud like Akthar. Please understand that we would shout like this even if Shohaib blamed Dhoni or Sehwag or Ganguly or even people like Sadagoppan Ramesh and Abey Kuruvilla :)

So what is the real issue here?a Pkistani cannot criticize or is it Shoaib akhtar who has no moral grounds?or his claims are false?it is just his feelings in his autobiography.Where was Shukla when Naser hussain called indian players Donkeys.This was more humilating.Oh may be a British is allowed to say so...you are right Mr.Invincible

No Javed, this is not the matter. It is our self respect. You guessed right. A cheating Paki doesnt have any rights to bark at us. You want to leave him alone since he has written against Sachin. But he has written that he did ball tampering and all bowlers do the same. What is your stand on that? Dont you see foolishness in this sentence? And please be on par with the latest news. On 5-Sep-11, the same Rajiv Shukla told that BCCI will discuss it with ECB. So, learn something else other than Sachin hating.

Fully agree with Javed that we should not pay any attention to a failure sportsperson!
I fondly remember during tour to Pakistan.... India were in precarious situation and young Dhoni came to bat and Shoaib Akhtar bowled him a bouncer dhoni hit it for a six....again Shoaib bowled bouncer dhoni again hit for a six....and shoaib got injured....!
