He scored a double century, inspite of having lost one eye in a car accident in UK. He would have been the Best Batsman ever had he not met with the accident. Sudden going away was a shock.

Tiger MAK Pataudi

A great Cricketer MAK Pataudi added grace and glamour to Indian cricket . In sixties when West Indians were dominating in all departments of Cricket , Tiger PAT took the charge of Indian Team at the tender age of 21 ,in the Carribean ,against the legends Frank Worrel , Gary sobers , Rohan Kanhai , Wes Hall and others in the middle of the tour . Thereafter he never looked back . His captaincy improved match after match , his fielding became example to other Indian cricketers . At the same time he was a great batsman. Those who have followed his play from the beginning of his entry in Indian team ( probably in Madras Test against Ted Dexter\'s MCC Team in 1961 ) ,they will never forget his contribution to Indian Cricket .
He is no more now . May God rest his soul in peace. Tiger , we shall not forget you .

A very fine Captain who brought discipline in the team and led by example especially in fielding. Unfortunate he never got the chance to mentor the Indian team as a coach or selector etc. May his soul rest in peace.

loss of a brave and dignified Indian

this is really a great loss for the cricketing community and the country as a whole.Tiger was a very brave and dignified member of the community who carried on with cricket and lived his life without any petty politics.
May his soul rest in peace.
