Tigeer Pat was a great cricketer with a deal of records and achievements behind him both as Batsman & as captain of Indian Cricket team of yester years when there was not so much money in the game people played or watched the game for the love of sport. Despite behing part of the erstwhile Royalty, the Nawab of Pataudi Jr as he was known he was a very noncontroversial cricket personality and had some very tight geentleman sense of right and wrong. It is indeed a pity none of his progeny came to the game.
The Indian cricket is poorer for the death of Pat.

What rubbish thing you are writing.Learn to be a human being.Whom did he harass, why govt has to liquidate his assets? Dont blabber
One of the few universally respected figures of indian cricket who commanded respect from friends and foes alike. He chose to remain above the petty politics and pettier politicos after his retirement from cricket. One can only try to guage the loss to Indian cricket fraternity with great difficulty. Had the Indian cricket authorities persuaded him to lend his undoubted talents in a more meaningful way than an occasional quote ,he would have been as great an asset after retirement as he was on the field. A gentleman and an officer to the core.
SHARMILAJEE I AM DEEPLY HURT TO LISTEN THE NEWS OF MR PATUDI. AT THIS HOUR OF GRIEF WE STAND BY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND PRAY TO GOD TO GIVE YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN STRENGTH TO OVERCOME THE LOSS WHICH CANNOT BE COMPENSETED.
The TIGER is no more. (No I am not referring to the Shiv Sena, they are Chuha's). One of the finest captains of Indian cricket, Non controversial, calls a spade a spade and a gem of a person. I salute you sir.
