Yes, we lost. But see the team without Sachin, Zaheer, Yuvraj, Sehwag, Gambhir, Harbhajan, Nehra and couple of others. Inspite of these deficiencies, we made them to run for their money and of-course rain did play a spoil-sport. Dhoni should be given thumbs up for his bravery and without showing any dissent in and out of the field. Had some other persons been in his position he would have cried, but Dhoni the great, would never do that.

dhoni got PHD in excuse management & was crying thruout the series in test, T-20 & ODI with tame excuses. Indian team was full strength in test. In ODI- even england was playing without peterosn/strauss- tremlet, anderson, broad, morgan- all key players got injured- but no excuse. You are crying like ur political idol dhoni

We were definitely without our key players.. :) England on the other hand didn't miss Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Trott, Morgan, Tremlett, Broad, Anderson etc. at all... :) Which proves that they are B-grade players... right? :)
When we embarked on this tour the stress was on the individual achievement of Sachin more than on the series win.. Fans were expecting him to score his 100th ton in every innings he batted. It is time that the fans rooted for the country than individuals.

Well said... it was due to fans egging Dravid on to those centuries which saw our downfall in tests... If he had scored 8 ducks, we'd have won the tests 4-0...
In ODIs it was all Dhoni's mistake... he should have scored 5 ducks instead of which he piled on selfish runs to win the Man of the Series, and look where it got us.... Right? :)

India were 148/2 after 32.2 Overs , going at 4.6 runs per over (75% strike rate) , at the same stage (i.e. 32.2 overs) England were 241/4, going at an amazing 7.5 runs per over (125% strike rate) .... at the same point England had scored almost 100 runs more than India ... yet as D/L method England won narrowly , 7 or 8 dot balls by India and India would have won ... D/L favours the team batting first .... Anyways well done England .... BCCI and Team India don't worry ... despite failing spectacularly , your fans will still worship the dust from your feet ... Pls come home fats its time for IPL / CL / Ad shooting for even more brands ... the more money you make, the more we love you

Well said sharma. The cricketers have no shame and neither do the blind fanatics. The game of Cricket in india lost its spirit decades ago.
As I have written before and now repeat, it is BCCI is lack of basic common sense about the scheduling of matches and series and player burn out issues, which is the root cause of the disheartening showing by the Indian team on the just concluded England tour.
But I stand by the team and its mercurial skipper.
There is a saying that whatever happens, happens for good.
In my reckoning, leaving everything else aside, the stand out of the whole fiasco is the vindication of the character of the man, Dhoni.
Not for nothing that he is called captain marvel and captain cool. His conduct on this tour has attracted the praise of no less a person, knowledgeable cricketer and one of the most successful captains ever, i.e. Clive Lloyd of West Indies.
I have been following Indian cricket for about 35 years now and can vouchsafe that a similar disastrous tour would have made many of the past captains cry and run away or shout and scratch.
Many players got injured, some apparently did not give their best but here was a gem of a person, player and captain who stood solid with his own performances and by his team and players, making only general comments when pressed hard in interviews, never singling out the bad performance or under performance of any one.
Salutes to you Dhoni, keep the flag of leadership qualities flying high till you hang your boots one distant day.

We observed from England tour 1. Great captaincy of Dhoni sir Yes india lost 0-4 in test,0-1 in T-20 & 0-3 in ODI. Two ODi saved by God rain 2. Great batting of Dhoni Sir Yes all fifty in ODI resulted in India loss. What a selfish player who plays only for records. In test failed 6 out of 8 innings & two test was lost just because he couldn;t bat even 5 overs to save the test. In T-20 scored only 5 runs of 7 balls- thats why india lost. Even dravid could hit three consecutive sixes in only T-20 he played but this joker dhoni has not done it even after playing 27 T-20 intnl. 3. Senior cricketer ruined hope of India. Yes in ODI/T-20 no senior was playing except dravid. It was simply captain fool his 9 young banar sena-good for nothing 4. Poor batting of sachin,he is responsible for test defeat. Much hype about 100 th century. Even sachin not at his best & full fit- still manage more runs than dhoni in test & was 2nd highesr scorere in test after dravid .
