Its shameful
by shashwat on Oct 29, 2011 11:29 AM  | Hide replies

Its shameful that a legendary spinner like Harbhajan has not been selected. Harbhajan had the potential to become the highest Indian wicket taker in Tests.
This is no way to treat a Legend like Harbhajan Singh. I think the reasons for dropping him are purely communal.

His performnace is poor from last only. being a legend doesnt merit a place in the team. There are so many legends in Indian cricket

Harbhajan had become too arrogant and had started taking his place in the team for granted... He thought he is irreplacable.

Harbhajan is the most overarted spinner in the world. He is useless, Ashwin and OJHA ARE STREETS AEAD OF HIM. Hope he is never ever selected.

For once Indai has selected a pace atack and not paraded spinners like Vinay Kumar,Venkatesh Prasad,A Mithun,Praveen Kumar and Aravind as fast bowlers (sic).

Overall looks a pretty good selection - perhaps Rohit Sharma should have been selected in place of Rahane

THE PERSONS WHO ARE WRITING AGAINST HARBHAJAN FORGET HIS CONTRIBUTION TO INDIAN CRICKETS AND FIND NO PLACE TO HIDE THEIR PLACES IF ASHWIN FAILS IN TEST SERIES

Harbhajan legacy success cannot guarantee the place in current team. If you don't perform one or two matches it is fine. Last 5 years is contribution is below par as a main line spinner. last 3 series very poor.

I agree with you but DHoni will pick Yuvraj only and give various reason like yuvi as fifth bowler, left right combination, more experience and so on

Right but Pragyan Ojha is definitely a better test bowler then Rahul Sharma. In fact he is the main spin bowler and it will be a toss up between Ashwin and Rahul sharma as both are better one day bowler or may be Varun too

I think 3 pacers (Yadav, Aaron n Ishant) with a specialist spinner (Ashwin or Ojha) should be fine. Since Yuvraj is back in the team, he can be the 2nd spinner n the 5th bowling option. No need to have 2 specialist spinners, unless the pith is gonna turn from day one!

Flat pitch bully sehwag
by greatone me on Oct 29, 2011 10:48 AM  | Hide replies

This smug face is back in the team, can't bear to watch him converse with umpires and joking around.

Sehwag will score a double century
Sachin a Century and 150 plus
Gautam a century and couple 50's
Virat 2 centuries
VVS as usual some boring couple of half centuries because there is not need for him to save the day because the flat track bullies are there.
new boy in town vada pav Rahane expect a maiden test century.

srikanth says chosen team looking to the future
by biswanath roy on Oct 29, 2011 10:45 AM  | Hide replies

srikanth says chosen team looking to the future. in which way sachin, dravid & laxman fit in the future. this dolt does not have the guts to sideline these oldies, whose inflated egos come in the way of unity in the team. it is time raina, badrinath,& pujara are given their due chance.it is against a weak side like west indies these youngsters can gain confidence which will help them in the tour of australia. mind you raina won the ODI series against WI in WI this year in tha absence of these experienced ones.
