I think Chappell is spot on in his assessement. Though Ganguly started out as a great leader, he started playing politics at the latter stage of his captaincy stint.
He was weak mentally and instead of believing in himself, he started relying on numerology to bail himself out.

ok,but why ICC selected such jealous person on indian cricket,who systematically tried to shut down careers of Yusuf pathan and other top cricketers of india on the name of trainging to indian tea,or headless Idiot ICC manasgement allowe d our enemy to lead ,know secrets of our teams,strengths and weakness,that cahppal(Sandal) was in india with 1 aim to take coaching fees and destroy indian teamand our confidence,why he is allowed to write book on stories of his colorful nights spent in india,on the cost of ICC,shame on such aussie aparteheid person and WI umpires and Darrly Harper like umpires who systematically given Sachin out when in 90's,such match fixing by umpires ,must be punished heavily,is BCCi and ICC chief Sharad pawar ji listening?
This scoundrel was kicked out of the Australian Team as the Coach. Now he is tying to shift the focus of his failure as a coach even in his own country. No body should pay any head to this man. Next time, if he visists India, he should be kickde in the a.. and thrown into the bay of bengal
Chappel is not perfect but he sounds just about right on Ganguly and Indian team. Ganguly's performance at that time and the Nagpur test against Aus was sll needed to prove Chappell's points..
