Sourav deserves this, it is him who brought this Aussie freak to India. This is one sin, Sourav must be cursing himself every day!

Sourav is the best indian captain, better thanDhoni
by kush goel on Nov 09, 2011 01:19 PM  | Hide replies

Had India won the 2002 world cup final in south africa,He would have been even more remembered. But it was his bad luck.Taking the team to the world cup final in South Africa was a bigger achievement than winning the world cup in India

Chappell is pathologically paranoid
by T P on Nov 09, 2011 11:04 AM

chappell decided to go out to toss as if he was the captain, he asked Sourav to step down in the Zim series as if he was the chief selector ( Sourav had been captain by the selection committee just as Chappell as coach by the BCCI), he decided to play doctor by asking by Sourav to go for an MRI scan.

So Chappel by his own confession decided to play captain, selector and doctor forgetting he was only the coach?

He talks about Indian players not going out and mixing with local people on tours and attributes it to Indian culture. What culture did he display as player and coach (remember underarm bowling and his conduct at Edens)?
Anyone who has visited Australa or knows a thing about the country knows how the locals (aboroginals) of that country has been marginalised and kept in enclosures as if they were animals in a zoo ?

Chappell has disgraced himself and his country and continues to do so. Why cannot he get on with players of his own national team such as Mike Hussey a gentleman and fine player in own right? Why does he try to finish the careers of all senior players? It has to do with his own patholological insecurity. His bluff was called when he was booted by cricket Australia recently.

One expects nothing from Chappell. But one feels our own countrymen get taken in a scheming foreigner and denigrate Sourav who is a proud and patriotic Indian, never to be cowed down.He has all along conducted himself with dignity in face of personal attacks on him.

Chappell's Chapal !

Poor guy-now that Team australia has shown him the door he has no other option but to write a book to keep himself occupied ! The only way the book can generate some interest is by being controversial - never mind if it speaks more lies than truths ! Saurav Ganguly took over the Indian team when it was at its lowest point and brought in players like Yuvraj ,Zaheer , Sewhag, Harbhajan and gave them a secure environment to grow and become the pillars they r troday -if the Dhoni-Kirsten era is credited with taking the Indian team to great hieghts then the Saurav-John Right era is credited with forming the base for this growth. The Chappell-Dravid era brought in distrust and insecurities and nothing was achieved rather a lot of team spirits and young talents like Irfan Pathan was lost forever !
