The Q/F line up is on expected lines.May be Pakistan was not expexted to top the pool.The conventional favourites assuming no upsets should see Pak,India,SA and SL in the semis line up.But at this stage the teams which play best on that day should make it although any two competing teams are not necessarily equal. Pick Ind-Aus match. If one goes by the quality,skill or experience of individual players, India is a far superior side compared to the aussies. Names like Sachin,Sehwag,Gambhir,Dhoni,Bhajji,Zaheer..etc. belong to a totally different league as compared to the present aussies team which can at best boast of a Ponting or a Brett Lee and not much else. And Ponting is struggling at that. Only Brett Lee has shown some form. The aussies were trumpeting about their record of 34 wins w/o break in the WC, but the fact was they were not fully tested till they met Pak. But in a way that match helped them in assessing themselves correctly and do the course correction for the India match. Another factor will be their ‘fighting’ qualities and competitive nature.It remains to be seen how far they can go w/o much else to back them.
Iam sorry but i guess IPL was more exciting than this ICC world cup. I also wonder Irfan Pathan who was worth 2 million dollars per season in IPL is not worth to have a place in world cup squad. hmmmmm..Interesting
DHONI CURRENTLY SAID THAT HE IS MISSING JOGINDER SHARMA IN THE TEAM. HE ADDED THAT BOTH COMPETE WITH EACH OTHER SO AS TO IMPROVE THEIR DEADLY PERFOMANCES.
Team india is strong - no doubt - but the way they have played against stronger teams speak for themselves. A billion people hopes are connected with this and every VICTORY till the FINALS.
Personally - I as most of us - are going to root for india - till the last ball and the last wicket (however pathetic situation we might be in).
Reminder: Do not be that hopeful - else as the records are showing - it could be a very sad & utterly tearful feeling at the end of QF between Ind & Aus. Just pray that we perform to our full potential and leave the rest to GOD.

Anyway Munaf is givining away 70 runs. Shree can score 10 runs, can play till the end supporting another batsman which will add another 15 runs & more importantly save 10 more runs than Munaf in the field.

Sreesanth is not the chamcha of Dhoni like Harbhajhan Singh, yuvraj Singh etc... So, he is out of the team.
