Anyway Munaf is givining away 70 runs. Shree can score 10 runs, can play till the end supporting another batsman which will add another 15 runs & more importantly save 10 more runs than Munaf in the field.

Re: Forget record and Play for the country?
by Srinivasan Renganathan on Mar 21, 2011 04:37 PM
Forget Sachin,
Ask the other players to play selfish & play just only for records. How many players would score even half the runs/centuries Sachin scored. Please do not post crap articles.
Sachin has always played for the country. If the other fools cannot play, then its not Sachin's fault.

He is selfish. If not, why he comes always as opener. Because he can hit centuries with long innings left. If he plays for country and come at 6 or 7, he will never get centuries. Even if team badly needs him to come at lower order, he will not come. Dhoni with 5 years cricket experience can become captain, Sachin will not become captain. Because he cant concentrate on batting. Of course, now a days he plays for country and not for records. Most of his career, he played for records i.e. centuries. Know the stats first.

It is your misunderstanding,Sachin is not following records, records are following..Tendulkar is like someone who conquered death and who conquered cancer..

Now,wherever he will go,records will following, its not his problem,

If he would not have scored 111,India would have been all out for 150 runs,as you must be remembering that India lost 9 wickets for 29 runs against south africa...

hi om shanthi,
dont compare like this. If he has not scored 111, the others could have utilised his overs and taken runs. Think of the deliveries he has taken to hit 111. These deliveries will be available for other team members.

Yes,Mr.Siva,
Dhoni with his helicopter shot would have scored 250 runs in the balls faced by Sachin.

WE CAN WIN"
by Srinivasan Renganathan on Mar 21, 2011 04:17 PM  | Hide replies

The best team for the game against Australia is
1.      Sewhag.
2.      Tendulkar.
3.       Virat Kolhi.
4.      Raina.
5.      Yuvraj Singh.
6.      Yusuf Pathan.
7.      Dhoni.
8.      Ashwin.
9.  &nb sp;   Zaheer.
10.      Harbhajan.
11.      S reesanth.

1. Raina should be retained in the place of Gautham Gambhir, who is out of form since September-2009. Also, Raina is a better fielder & useful bowler than Gambhir.
2. Raina should be sent ahead of Yuvraj Singh because Yuvraj has played only against the weaker teams & he cannot force the pace in the middle overs that too against Australian bowlers.
3. Yusuf Pathan should be sent when spinners (Kreja) or Shane Watson operate because he can handle them easily & not in the power plays when Lee or Tait is operating.
4. Munaf patel should in now way be selected because he does not know to Bat, Field or Bowl. In comparison, Sreesanth is a better fielder than Munaf, can score at least 2 runs/hang around & is a much more aggressive/strike bowler than Munaf/Nehra.
5. Also, Ashwin who is a better batsman than Harbhajhan Singh & Zaheer should be sent after Dhoni.
6. Power plays should be taken in-between the 35th & 45th overs when players like Yuvraj or Dhoni are batting, who will not get out. Dhoni in particular who will scrap through & cannot score more than 12 out of 30 balls whether in the power plays or not in the power plays.

Look friend I respect your views on team selection but going by the current games & results my team is as below with batting order.
Sehwag
Tendulkar
Virat Kohli
Yuvraj Singh
Gautham Gambir
M.S.Dhoni
Yusuf Pathan
Ashwin
Harbajan Singh
Zaheer Khan
Munaf Patel

Batting power play for me must be taken immediately after the bowling power play ends. This if our team started off well, say 85 - 90 runs in the first 15 overs for no wicket/1 wicket. This will force the opposite captain to use his main strike bowlers who would be tired after the bowling power play or use his back up bowlers which will be to our advantage. If the start is not good then we must wait to settle a patnership and then go for the powerplay. We have to just bat normally with caution mixed with agression, rotate the strike and for sure with the batting we have easily can cross 350 in any conditions.
Play normal and play cool - results will come.remember our streangth is only batting, do that to the best - Good Luck my INDIA.

Mr.Varghese,
1. Gambhir if not useful at N0-3 will definitely not be useful at no 5.
2. Raina is a better player presently even than Yuvraj.
3. Munaf- I do not want to comment on him...

Hard to predict the winners. But true champion team will prevail & speaking of true champions, only one team has dominated cricket for the past decade or so now.

So, beware INDIANS, big stage, big match, hold your nervous, play well, 2003 final revenge match, play for pride & make the entire nation proud by knocking down Aussies from the world cup & ending their's dominance.

India will be the only Asian country to reach semifinal. Both the other teams will lose. So semi final line up is India V WI, & SA V Eng.

India will win the CUP.

Both teams are evenly poised and have not played their best till now. I personally felt that India might intentionally lose to WI yesterday in order to avoid meeting Aussies in QF.

People say that there is lot of pressure on Sachin, still he performs. Pressure-My foot
It is wrong. Sachin knows that even he gets out, nobody is going to criticize him.
The pressure was on him when he started his carrier, not now.
Now he enjoys the liberty. He knows people love him even if he fails.
Crowd is cheering for him. Is it a pressure, My foot
