I think the people here believe in taking out all the personal frustation on the indian crickets and ICC. Give tis break yaar, stop talking garbage about a creative activity, for once... Wake up guys, if you don't like cricket, there's no need put msgs here... go elsewhere.... dont throw trash here, for God's sake... i am fed up of hearing of match fixing, .... every day the same story...

If you have a blog site, please publish this article in your blog, not in sites like rediff. Irritating. BDesh is hosting the first WC, obviously they are delighted. In India, its different. Your view on SL, I dont even want to comment.

INSTITUTIONALISED CORRUPTION – WORLD CUP 2011 IS BO
by BV SUBRAHMANYAM on Mar 21, 2011 08:50 PM  | Hide replies

I feel all the matches played by India, Australia, Srilanka and Pakistan are fixed under the guidance of ICC and its Head. In my opinion SA, England, WI and NZ are clean teams along with minnows (small, up & coming teams). This is one of the Most boring World Cups I have ever watched. If India wins this World Cup it is no wonder because it is FIXED. Just review Indian Team’s performance in this world cup. Victories against minnows with great difficulty. We could not defend scores of 338; 296. Only convincing victory for India is against WI. Even though our batting is Good our bowling is pathetic. Zahir Khan is an exception. We are missing Praveen Kumar. With this type of inconsistent performance how India can win World Cup. Heroics by Sachin, Sehwag, Yuvaraj, Kohli and Gambhir are wasted by foolish captaincy by Dhoni.

Remember 1983 world cup. India defended small total against mighty WI. You can not generalise everything

Format makes it boring
by timepass on Mar 21, 2011 08:11 PM

Having 4 out of 7 teams qualify for quarters is a joke, since 3 of those teams are very weak anyway. Right format would be to make the top two from each group directly play semis. Then all league games would be fiercely played.

by RAJU subramani on Mar 21, 2011 08:10 PM

If u think the entire india should stop working and concentrate only on WC, then it is nonsense. DOnt expect that in a matured huge country like india.
As business WC is doing its work. that is enough.
