His contribution as a batsman was little but behind the stumps he was superb. The way he was gathering the bowl of Ishant and Bhajji, it was just amazing. As a captain no one can point out his contribution. He was superb as always.

Cannot say its superb, without good runs on board to chase he would have thrown the match.

Anyways, you are free to write your views as I do :)
No offence meant

Fluent Laxman

Dravid is technically very sound. On broken pitches sometimes better than Sachin. But in test both of them do not dominate the proceedings, only VVS who scores fluently and authoritatively.

Sacin’ll have to play another twenty years to achieve those things what VVS has gotten in a brief but productive career.

Ask the Aussies, who dominated the world cricket in the last 10-15 years. It is not only record but the quality of cricket that matters. There is no parity in runs between Gavaskar and Vishwanath, but Vishwanath is taken in high esteem despite he not from Bombay lobby.

I have no doubt on Gavaskar’s ability as he was one of the best opening batsmen India as has ever produced. But one must take opinions of the bowlers of the period. They will come out with real answers not the fanatic fans. About Sachin ask bowlers like Akram, Younis, McGrath, Walsh, Ambrose, Donald etc. They will tell you Sachin is not impregnable.

Dravid is habitual to play that kind of inning. But my special thanks to P.Kumar. P.Kumar was real hero of this match.

LONELY SACHIN CREATES HISTORY AT KINGSTON
by mahesh mahesh on Jun 24, 2011 10:58 AM  | Hide replies

This would have been the captions everywhere, had Sachin hit the lone century to save/win India as done by DRAVID.However it is pathetic to note that no captions or at least good words about DRAVID eventhough he has won this match for India (Some loser say he was dropped at 6)

Apparently without his score in both the innings, India would have lost to a B team .

Look at the way Dhoni as a captain batted.Once Sachin and Dravid retires, Dhoni's true colors would be exposed. However, cricket is in the downsacle.

Give due credit to Dravid though he may be a Kannidaga and a South Indian

Please read the morning newspapers and then comment! Due recognition has been given to the Mr. Wall. Whether it is Dhoni, Dravid, Sachin or anybody else, let them be seen through single eye as "TEAM INDIA". that's real sportsmanspirit!!!

Sachin would have batted two days for a Century just like Sunil Gavaskar. India would have lost the Game, but everyone will say Sachin is GOD.

Indian batsman is nt lankan my dear or current australian team who is loosing there space by every passing day.
Watch out for Indian Batsman dude,
If all fit, Eng will b running all over the field, bouncy pitch will make dem dance them self.
No more bouncy pitches can bounce India, dey still heavily depend on opener who both are left hander and Zaheer simply too gud 4 left handers.
Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Laxman, Tendulkar, Dhoni,Yuvraj and Bhajji. Come on guys, Englan need 10 bowlers to over come Indian Batsman.
Even in bowling dey r gud enuf to take Eng 20 wickets.
I m backing India to win 2-1 or 1-0.
Go for it India

VVS Laxman
by sweetguy on Jun 24, 2011 10:50 AM

Laxman has not played international cricket for quite a long time. He also did not play much in IPL. His batting order was also changed in this test. He is more comfortable in his original batting spot No.6. Dhoni should bring Kohli as No.4 Raina as No.5 and Laxman as No.6.Our tailenders will be inspired by the presence of Laxman in the pitch and give him good support to pile runs at latter period.

Sachin the God

1. Sachin Tendulkar has successfully claimed tax exemption on his earnings from advertisement on the ground that he was just an 'actor'

2. Sachin has sold his Ferrari Car gifted to him by Schumacher on completing 29th Century.

Any comments?

I have no problem Sachin selling his car nor I say he is saint. But selling a car gifted to him for achieving a milestone make make his fans a bit uncomfortable. Do you think Sachin is facing cash crunch?

It is not fair to compare a seasoned opener Gambhir with Abhinav Mukund. Mukund is a promising youngster who, if given good opportunity, will be a lasting prospect for Indian Test team.

We must admit it was a good game, good pitch, and a good fight and a good fight back from both teams! If West Indies had a 'B Grade' team, India also had quite a few, inexperienced juniors! And Dravid really lived up to his reputation as a senior. A little regret was our Very Very Special Laxman didn't show his mettle, may be the next match will be his!
Keep it up, India.
