fast bowling

Do you need La Malinga. You have to be like Jardin to have pacer from your bowler. Harold Larwood was a coal miner before he bowled fast. Too many rules are being made against the bowlers. Let pacers bowl beamers and unlimited bouncers. Only true batters will survive and chicken hearted will be go back to their moms.

When Munaf came on the scene, he boasted of ability to bowl at speeds of 150 kmph. In fact he did bowl at speeds of 140-145 kmph. For reducing his speed and guiding him to "bowl line and length" (whatever my fooot it means for the team's cause!)
credit goes to:

1. Greg Chappel

2. Venkatesh Prasad

3. Indian players' desire to play longer and make more money than try hard.

Indian cricket can scale new heights, if we have bowlers like Shaun Tait, Dale Steyn, Bret Lee who can more consistently bowl at speeds of 140-150 kmph and scare the opponents out of their wits.

After kapil, we dont hv genuine pacers, Ishant showed promises but he sprays a lot therefore not effective, We require a pacer with line & length, Today India is on top not because we are great cricketers, it is only becos the opposition have deteriorated very badly.

Apart from b.lee, d.steyn, s.tait and xpress s.akhthar, the international cricket has lost its pace. roach seems out of the league for some reasons.

Lasith Malinga in tests...

30 tests 101 wkts average 33.15

Very similar to Karsan Ghavri.

Marshall, Lillee, Holding, Garner, Ambrose, Akram etc all average 20 - 23 per wicket for hundreds of wkts.

Don't get too carried away by ODOs and IPL.
