sachin was the one who benefitted by the DRS in world cup match against pakistan. he was given lbw to ajmal but was saved by DRS. Pls somebody remind sachin
This action of the BCCI is simply udermining the ICC. Let the ICC take a decision of adopting this technology without any board's approval. This will instill confidence in the umpires, improve decision making & is great for public viewing. Fans get a high when this technology is used & the WC2011 was proof of it. This debate of the technology not being foolproof is hogwash. There is no technology which is 100% error free. BCCI is only trying to muscle its way & ignore the fans which it does with amazing nonchalance.
DRS is more beneficial to a team which has a stronger bowling attack compared to batting strength. hence India finds it difficult to accept DRS. Also 2 appeals is bit of dampener if he real intention is to get it every time. There is no limitation to run-outs referrals, this also causes delays, many a times upto 3-4 minutes per referral.

Wordcup statistics showed that Indias success rate is at par with the average of all teams. It is not beneficial to any teams, both bowlers and batsmen get benefit. Those teams who use better sense in referals should get advantage.
Cricket is anyway a slow game and umpires can anyway use unlimited number of referals. India's refusal will only further tarnish its image, with most of the teams viewing India as a bully. It makes sense to use our finacial power to fight just causes, attitudes like this is not going to help Indian team. Whether India like it or not, a lot more technology is going to be used in cricket in near future. BCCI and team India needs to use their brains, if they have any.
So since URDS can give u perfect / say 99% correct decisions, then why there is a limitation? Why can't we use it for all appeals? Why just TWO per innings??
