ranatunga ka taanga budda hogaya & that is y he is up against BCCI (IPL) ,, coz he cannot play & get those bucks ,, coz his country-mates gave importance to IPL more than their own country does not mean that India is at fault ,, his country & his people r responsible themselves ,, & what will anybody expect from neighbours of India ,, only ill-will ,, was ICC flying this much earleir with less influence of India ,, NO ,, but because of Indian influence & management has ICC & Cricket in general been accepted in many places ,, ofcourse even we do not want club-based game but IPL is summer special ,, shouldnt be a problem ,, let others not come ,, even we want own own boys to come out with better show ,, sri lanka just wants to oppose Indian supremacy & is following pak(osama)stan to its own end ..

if IPL is killing cricket why SL cricketers participating? Does SL board have money power of BCCI? If not they should just keep quiet-cant have your cake and eat it too
ICC by virtue of its structure has no standing of its own. It has to depend on boards of member countries for participation, funding, etc. India provides maximum funds and maximum participation - so BCCI does have a lot of say in ICC functioning. Let other countries increase their cricketing activities and funding to ICC and ICC will come out from under BCCI's thumb. Indian public enjoys cricket more than any other sport. Naturally, BCCI gets more out of cricket than other countries.
I suppose it is might is right.. Not that other countries are saints. England have tried & failed miserably (sponsor in jail). Srilanka is starting one. Probably it is the case of sour grapes.. :).. Hey Indians let's enjoy this supremacy.

Just see wherever cricket happenning, its all Indian sponsors. Even Pepsi, Coke use India account to sponsor cricket in other countries. So, its Indian sponsors who are running cricket.
Therefore ICC is BCCI's baby. There nothing wrong if BCCI is dicating ICC, because cricket in the world is existing because of Indian money. Other countries are only sending their teams in lieu of money.
Ironically, in other sports India has the habit of cutting a sorry figure and remain in bottom. :-)
Earlier ICC was a puppet of England, then of Australia and now India. It depends where the money comes from, and today almost all the money in cricket comes from Indian sponsors. There are no takers of cricket in other countries.
