big disappointment
by Pankaj Mehta on Jan 26, 2011 02:24 PM  | Hide replies

For me, big disappointment is the captain dhoni is dancing on chances.
We have talented player and with the help of their contributions we are consistently doing well. In the list of talented player there was Dhoni.
But in the list of talented captain there should not be Dhoni.

If Dhoni stays as a part of Indian team, we can do better.

Gautam is much better option with Sehwag as vice captain.

i meant, Dhoni stays as part of indian team - only as player and not as captain.

dhoni should play as 12 th man
by SRINIVAS ALLADI on Jan 26, 2011 02:10 PM  | Hide replies

As Captain dhoni should sit in the pavallion, b'coz his batting performance has come down, he can give opportunity to other player when it comes to batting and as keeper he can handle the situation as captain

not possible since he is the only keeper picked, and i think he is still the best keeper we have.

World cup format
by m b on Jan 26, 2011 02:08 PM

The actual tournament starts only from QF. In 1996 SA won all league games but lost in QF, but WI scratched to reach QF, but entered SF. So one bad day at the office on day of QF, will undo all your good works. Therefore, it is very tough to predict even the semi finalists

Also each group has about 3 minnows and therefore out of 42 league games, 30 games will feature atleast 1 minnow team, which means lopsided contests. Other teams may be preying for records in these game

I didn't include him as he has not played many ODI matches recently and he looked out of form in SA series. And it is unfair to drop Virat as he has been consistent. If you are going by the records, there is no doubt no one can replace Sachin, but I go with current form

i would drop raina instead. depending on the pitch, we can bring in a spinner in place of munaf/nehra

Dump sachin and win the cup
by bharatpremi on Jan 26, 2011 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

The only way India can win WC is to dump sachin. He is selectively playing as per his wish. Sometimes he is faking injury and getting rest and performing ads and at times he is also hiding injury to play to keep his endorsement alive. He is not 100% fit and using this to his advantage with full permission from Board.
Recently when the team was struggling in ODI series he was busy seeing Premier of Dhobi Ghat apprehending fully that he will fail in SA ODIs. Such is the level of commitment of the player these days.

I sent them money for transcripts - total of Rs.2200.
Till i sent the money, they responded to all my queries instantly.
But no response after i sent the money. Its been over a month now.
To check i requested a new service from my other email. And, as i expected, they responded immediately.
They r big time cheats.
Pls Keep away from sahara Care House

The Best Thing is.....

Not to watch the WC ALIVE! Record the Winning matches by India and watch it whenever time permits so that we can do some better job at home or elsewhere!!

BCCI must have already entered privately into huge contracts with Match Fixers - because BCCI Members and current WC Team members know that most of them will not be in the WC Team next time!! So the wisest thing for them would be to pocket the maximum from Match Fixers and come back home with some excuses and statistics! Dhoni must have already made the draft what to say to the Media and to the public so that he can remain as Captain!!

A prediction that Selectors have failed India already!!!
by k p on Jan 26, 2011 06:28 AM  | Hide replies

This article gives a clear message that we are NOT GOING TO WIN this event!!

MS Dhoni is frequently appearing in media nowadays only to say: "We cannot win all the matches! Some of our batsmen are not in great form NOW BUT they will recover their form ...."
a clear admission that our Team - already an Inury Team - will get the bruise in blue uniform!!! It looks like they are not confident on themselves! Rediff is paid by BCCI to advise the public to slowly eat the bullets!

BCCI knew that India has great players and we could win this WC and yet they planned a couple of tours by our team and other teams to India weeks before the WC causing our players to continuously play and get tired and get Injured!! Now, we have gr8 players but almost all of them have not fully recovered from their injuries!! Our WC Team and BCCI can sell only one thing: A GRAND DEFEAT!!! in our SOIL!!! WC is still remains to be a dream!!

Many of the players got ample rest when players were rotated during the ODI series both in home and abroad. Most of the top teams are playing competitive matches during this time, this is necessary to assess their expectations. I think the tough SA tour demonstrated their weaknesses so that they can work out a rational strategy, instead of floating around these stupid comments by Dhoni.
