I dont know why RCB and KKR supporters are fuming. Still upcoming uncapped players from your states are to be selected. If you miss Dravid and Ganguly other young aspirants will be there. If they come they will be benefitted. Take for example players Manish Pandey and others from Karnataka will be included. Like wise young players in West Bengal will be included. Wait for some more days. Mean while dont spew venom at other players and IPL team owners

If young players get their chances , they can shine and get your respective teams to succeed

Dravid, Uthappa and Vinay kumar are not the only players in Karnataka and Ganguly is not the only player from West Bengal to play cricket

he has the enough money to pay the price, and mind it he is a great busineeman. Do,t see every thing through reginalism.
Whatever happens, happens for good! The kind of respect Rahul deserves, he was not getting from RCB side! Rahul, Give the answer to Mr. Mallya by your bat & enjoy your new inning with RR :)

Even he does not dererve to play 20-20 match, he is only test player and not even in the 50-50 team of india,he is very lucky to be bought by RR, otherwise he will face same humalilation like DADA.
Must nopt be palying IPL.The will be "Water boys'.I dont know why Kochi went after Mahela and Laxman Losing the own Abishek Nair and Robin Uttapa( Both all rounders)
This time SRK will have to enjoy alone his so called young team's performance in an empty Eden. In Calcutta no Dada, no cricket. Shame on you Sha Rukh.. How can you ignore a player of his calibre.

That fu**ing franchise of SRK does not deserve to name its team after Kolkata. And how the hell do you think Bengal does not deserve a team?? Go to hell!!

You started barking. You cant accept the fact that Ganguly crossed his prime.Look It is not KKR,Bit nine other franchises snubbed Ganguly. At least they thought th Laxman and Dravid make good "water boys".Even Ganguly doesnt fit into that slot.what a pity?

@Rosgallaz
If I get 2 crore rupees serving as "water boy" i will prefer it.Better than Selling stale "Rosgullas" ate the fly infested Shakespear Sarani or Chowrangeee lane.

There is no doubt that the communists, Congress & TMC have converted West Bengal to Waste Bengal. But Ganguly still has cricket left in him. He was the 4th highest run getter in last IPL scoring nearly 500 runs which was way better than Gilchrist, Andrew Symonds, Rahul Dravid, Mahela, Yuvi and even Yousuf Pathan. He was the best performer for the team. The Franchises probably didn't buy him because Ganguly is a big name to manage and making him play under other captains could give rise to problems. Looking at the teams, I can see many franchises would suffer because they haven't taken quality Indian batsmen in the teams. Ganguly could well have served as a quality batsmen in any team. So, not selecting Ganguly is the loss to the Franchises as much it is a loss to Ganguly. No comments on Shahrukh but I think he will realise how much Ganguly means to the people from Kolkata.
To begin with this T20 is utter non-sense. it's not cricket. its masala.. b'wood is better. some smart businessmen and lucky cricketers are filling their coffers at the expense of cricket.
Royal Challengers could bracket the City name Bangalore, because they have a team without a Bangalore lad. Local flavor gone for a six. Team without a Bangalore lad, is team without a challenge!

I think fools like you would not know that if fielding was the crieria then you are talking about the person with more than 200 catches in tests and who also played more than 100 matches as India's wicket keeper. As for kaifu these people were Gooongooly's boot lickers.
Re: Re: Re: Dravid
by Roy on Jan 10, 2011 08:53 AM
Taking 200 catches in Slip in test doesnt mean any thing in T-20 format.Saving runs in deep is more crucial in crunch situations.

Well said... Since you are not a Bong; its highly unexpected of you to know anything about either IPL or about individual players' strike rate therein... :)

@Roy, Do you know Cricket? Have you watched IPL 3? Rahul Dravid was successful in scoring runs and he has scored at a healthy stike rate of near 130.Almost at par to youngsters. You ppl never understand cricket and start commenting about RD. No Dravid,No Uthappa, No Steyn, No Kumble(not playing), No Ross Taylor! God only will save RCB! Get well soon boy! I am form B'lore, I love and proud to say that Rahul Dravid is one of the greatest of cricketers and cricket is lucky to get such a player. When Mallya said strategy was 'building a young team', do you consider Vettori, van der wath. Charl Langeveldt etc are young players? And they have really made a big mistake by not bidding for Robin Uthappa. If you notice, he was a huge improvement in IPL3, and a monstrous hitter. They have bought Charl Langeveldt and Cheteshwara Pujara(T20 specialist!) instead of Dravid and Uthappa! As a Bangalorean, I feel really cheated by Mr. Mallya(If Business is the reason, then ask him to take Bangalore out from his team name). No Match winners like Steyn,Ross Taylor! I was surprised he didn't even bid for Kevin Peitersen! God save RCB. I can only wish All the best for his Business. You have broken lot of Fans feelings, Mr. Mallya
