Dravid was always the sole reason for bangalore defeats. His strike rate will never be more than 90. Mallya has made good decision by not taking Dravid. RCB now totally rocks

Do you know Cricket? Have you watched IPL 3? Rahul Dravid was successful in scoring runs and as umamahesh kar told, he has scored at a healthy stike rate of near 130.Almost at par to youngsters. You ppl never understand cricket and start commenting about RD. No Dravid,No Uthappa, No Steyn, No Kumble(not playing), No Ross Taylor! God only will save RCB! Get well soon boy!

Check stats - Drvid's SR is 128, he did as well as many of the oungsters"
Friends.. After seeing the IPL auction happened on saturday and sunday.. I have decided to change my loyalty from RCB to CSK... Look at them they retained 4 and baught atleast 7 of their previous players... I do not think any logic was there to purchase saurab tiwary for such a huge price.. he has played only 1 IPL so far..

Dude tell me what was the necessary of CSK to retain Badri and Joginder sharma.. they also went high to retain murali and bajali.. if you are telling about the winning combination then RCB also went for 1 final and 1 semifinal

CSK bought their 7 players becoz they were champions last time and they wanted to keep the winning Team. RCB made good decision by keeping dravid away

yeah....chennai is already in best teams in ipl..wid same team of ipl3.... but banglore needed to change der tactics...i think mallya was right in his case...dravid...is bit old now..we cant predict his future 3 yrs cricketing.....in ipl... by the way i must say dravid is lucky atleast he didnt got humilited like dada....
Kumble did better thab Warne as a bowler and also as a captain. Yet, Rajsthan Royals retained Warne, while BRC retained only Kohli. Why is Kumble helping Mallya God only knows. Other than liquor business (which runs due to obvious reasons), Mallya does not have a track record of running anything successfully.

but Warne helped his team to win IPL not Kumble.... whats makes you say Kumle was better captain???? lol
Rahul Dravid is and has always been more of a Test player and hence not a right choice for 20-20 which is best suited for aggressive players and not technically correct gentlemen players. Also when such high money stakes are involved, one can't let personal equations take over business issues. Because after all IPL's "masala" matches are nothing but money making machines.

I am form B'lore, I love and proud to say that Rahul Dravid is one of the greatest of cricketers and cricket is lucky to get such a player. When Mallya said strategy was 'building a young team', do you consider Vettori, van der wath. Charl Langeveldt etc are young players? And they have really made a big mistake by not bidding for Robin Uthappa. If you notice, he was a huge improvement in IPL3, and a monstrous hitter. They have bought Charl Langeveldt and Cheteshwara Pujara(T20 specialist!) instead of Dravid and Uthappa! As a Bangalorean, I feel really cheated by Mr. Mallya(If Business is the reason, then ask him to take Bangalore out from his team name). No Match winners like Steyn,Ross Taylor! I was surprised he didn't even bid for Kevin Peitersen! God save RCB. I can only wish All the best for his Business. You have broken lot of Fans feelings, Mr. Mallya

Rahul dravid ..... Even he does not dererve to play 20-20 match, he is only test player and not even in the 50-50 team of india,he is very lucky to be bought by RR, otherwise he will face same humalilation like DADA.

well said buddy, there is no point in droping dravid. He has porved his worth in RCB as a T-20 batsman. I think Kumble missed the trick here
Re: Re: Re: kumble is over hyped

And who can forget, it was dravid who picked kumble for RCB in first edition of IPL,when kumble was not supposed to be pick by any team

After his miserabl flop in the just concluded african tour Rahul should hv taken the message.Rahul waited to be tabled why not instead of why now.Come on Rahul you had ur innings make room for the new brigade otherwise you wii be shown the doorin all formats of the game.

narain Menon
what is the young brigade you keep talking about ?
Raina ? -- the guy who seems out of sorts against pacers on fast tracks ? pujara - he did fail, but it would seem that he is technically better than Raina
who else is in the pipeline ? Yuvraj ? --haha haha haha murali vijay ?-- hmmm debatable, though he hasn't done any better off late either
did i reach the end of the probables or do you have any to contribute ?

Well said. Kumble lost his reputation by snubbing India's only gentlemen cricketer Rahul Dravid.
