I make an earnest request to all my bengali brothers in Kolkatta. The city is yours, please don't go to Eden Garden to watch matches of the knight riders. There can not be any Kolkatta Knight Riders without Ganguly. Shahrukh Khan has not only insulted Ganguly but the Bengali community as well. Please donot allow IPL matches to be hosted in Eden Garden. Shahrukh Khan has to be taught a lesson. Kolkatta is your city, don't allow anyone to watch IPL matches. The stadium should be empty. Please go on a rampage.

You bongolis want Ganguly to play even when he has no teeth and using bed pan. Look in the future, not past. And don't behave like Trinamool, if you dont want to go to Eden Gardens, don't go, why asking others to stay away? Speak only for yourself please.

Poor fella, buying people never stopped.
For that matter, in your language, buying people exists in every form of employment. Aren't you buying your maid, washer man, driver? Are your father, brother or sister not selling themselves to someone else for a 8 to 5 job?
In a poor country like India such auction are shameful and shud be stopped immediately.People who earn more than say 30L pa should be taxed heavily and should be spent for poor people. The Govt, which need support of actors, cricketers etc is not willing to do that

who says India is a poor country? and who says the taxes are less... there is already heavy tax on salaries. only if the politicians and govt officials just do their duty without corruption, India will be ruling the world..

These cricketers already fall in the 40% to 50% tax bracket and pay heavy taxes to govt. already. The funds from these cricketers are going to the govt.
Forget about cricketers, would you give 500 or 1000 rupees of your monthly pay check (within your ability) to the poor?

That's what my point is in one of my earlier, this is not even a big amount when you compare to the sporting leagues in the west.
Some people thing $2.4 million is an obscene amount and these amounts should be spent in eradicating poverty, preventing suicides, inflation, taking care of nation's growth, farmers etc.
If cricketers are making money, they have worked hard and have a market for themselves to make that money. It is not like easy money. In a cricket crazy nation like India, millions of youngsters play cricket but only a 100 or 200 make it to a big league like IPL and may 10 or 20 command a million dollars or two.
For every single problem in India, don't point your finger towards cricketers. They are meant to play cricket; and let them play cricket.

I am glad to report that we at osmania university are taking the following steps for environmentally friendly bandhs these days -
1. All stones that we are throwing at buses and police are recycled from our last year's agitation.
2. Petrol that we are using for burning buses is high quality unleaded petrol. In future, we are planning to use bio fuel ethanol to burn both buses as well as ourselves whenever we commit suicides in the name of Telangana. This holds true for all our Molotov cocktails as well.
3. While burning buses, we are taking care not to burn the bus tyres and the rexin seats inside the bus. Instead we are concentrating on burning the metallic body of the bus after thoroughly smashing the windows with stones.
4. We are targeting our Molotov cocktails at the Tarnaka flyover and not inside the university area so that they do not accidentally burn any trees inside the university campus. Further, all our Molotov cocktails are made up of biodegradable glass container rather than plastic containers.
5. Instead of burning the paper copies of the Sri Krishna commission report, a process which can lead to more emissions, we are downloading the soft copy of the report onto our local computers and then smashing the computers.
Any further suggestions for implementing environmentally friendly bandhs are welcome. Thanking you all, Jai Telangana.
