I think the Aussies and SA should prepare a guide or rule-book for all the subcontinent and Carrebean teams and tell them what constitutes 'crossing the line' and what doesn't. (no pun intended)

Salil:
:) Dhoni already has that guide... :)
Secondly; there is a difference between witty repartee / onfield chitter chatter / personal glare sessions / bad words hurled at each other VERSUS downright nasty personal comments...
That's why Harbhajan was pardoned with a much lighter sentence when it was discovered he was merely giving a "motherly" word to Symonds... Agree? :)
And finally; in case you noticed; the Aussie team itself has mellowed down substantially.... they came into India and went back; and even YOU couldn't invent anything wrong about their behaviour; could you? :)
gs played in test cricket. In this current form he is the best in the world. Now for India to have any chance of saving this match - Viru has to fire, Pujara to come at 1 down, Sachin should score at-least 50 and Laxman has to do this usual.

India should go for a win at least in the first session. Viru will open, Bhajji at no.3 (pinch hitter), Dhoni at No.4. If these three get out, Sachin, Laxman and Dravid should play out for a draw.
Dhoni is responsible for this precarious situation. He publicly humiliated the in-form Sreesanth and reduced his morale and it showed in his performance. The white a-s-s lickig Dhoni is should be publicly reprimanded. If Sreesanth continued his form into 2nd innings, India would have been in a better position.

I second this point, by dousing the spirits of the young speedster, Dhonin is showing his immaturity
In the entire test history, for all the teams, whether it is matches won (or lost (or tied)) there are about 10 instances when a team has scored 340 runs on the last day of a test match.
Not sure whether this gives up some hopes or dashes all the hopes.
India did it just once against aussies at Madras when they made 347 and the match ended in a tie. That was the most exciting test match i ever watched. ... Shastri staged a lone battle towards the end, batting last 2 sessions. We needed 4 of last over with Shastri and Maninder at the crease; Craig matthews with the bowl and shastri on strike. 1. dot ball 2. shastri places between a gap takes a couple...(deafening roar from crowd) 3. shastri takes a single ..scores tied(Shastri ensures India doesn't lose but in the process exposes 11th man Manider Singh who had yet to face a ball.) 4. dot ball..huge appeal for LBW turned down 5. another appeal...this time the finger goes up

Time for Sehwag to stand uop. every time he hits a few shots and gets out, people (including Dhoni) say "that is how he plays". that is an excuse not afforded anybody else except perhaps Yuvaraj. Not even Sachin. Another one is "on his day he can take the game away from you". Unfortunately test matches are not scheduled according to Viru's off and on days. Time he played for the team.
