Drop Dravid
by DevD on Jan 03, 2011 11:01 PM  | Hide replies

Isn't it possible to drop Dravid in the middle of the Test Match? For a long time the 'Wall' has been full of holes and loose bricks; he has become an unnecessary baggage, not scoring runs, getting other players run-out, and losing the momentum. But of course Kris Srikant does not have the b@lls to drop him. Drop Dravid, promote Pujara to no.3 and bring in Virat Kohli/Rohit Sharma at no.6. Also pls send Murali Vijay and Saurabh Tiwary back to school cricket where they learn how to drive through the off-side on the front foot, and how to defend on the back foot. Test cricket is not a 'practise area'. I do hope that Srikan will come out of his druken stupor and stop selecting players from CSK.

Indian Media

This is the state of our Media. Most of the news channel reporting that Sachin saved the day for India with the help of Gambhir. According to news channels Sachin helped Gambhir calm down and play with calm head. Few good words for Sreesanth, blasting Sehwag and Dravid.

That is not the media, but the corporate houses who have invested so much money on sachin. It is all pure business and value in action. They manufacture the sachin story and the dumb fans digest it. Watch for more Dhoni heroism stories as well soon.

@Vijay... First of all no one is denying that Sachin was and still is one of the best batsmen in game. But give other person credit where it is due. I hope you have heard name of Mark Mascarenhas and the person who introduced Sachin to Mark was Ravi Shastri. Also talking about mentality I do not want to stoop at your level. God Bless.

unique final conclusion ending all speculations about sachin.....
by vijay on Jan 03, 2011 10:43 PM  | Hide replies

3 points implying sachin as best ever and god of cricket ......

1. don bradman is considered as greatest batsman not sachin,
sachin is considered god of cricket not don bradman.
god can not be equal to or lesser than anyone,

hence proved sachin is greatest ever.

2. sachin is considered run machine and a machine is always perfect,
but sachin is a human in reality , and only god can be machine or perfect. again proved.

3. and finally , as we expect everything everytime from real god , so we expect sachin perform everytime , this again proves sachin is god of cricket.

When they say God of cricket.. its good to make a comment like that once in a while to edify a sportsman. Stop using it everywhere. There is no title as GOD of cricket or GOD of golf. A 'greatest' batsman would be a better adjective.

Sachin's Aim
by Chuttad Prasad on Jan 03, 2011 10:36 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin definitely has hunger of scoring more and more runs, naturally he want india to win en-course, however if that doesn't happen he definitely doesn't mind it

Bottomline: He is same as 99.99% people out there, so whats the fuss all about, just enjoy his game and leave analysis to the statisticians

well coz if he scores then the runs get added to the team. That's the only way to play for the team, to score more for urself, he cant score for sehwag. Im sure u know that... rite

however i think sometimes he definitely performs under par especially when he feels the script in hand will demand lot of hard work and efforts to score runs, then he just gives his wicket away at cost of his team thinking he might not add a ton easily there the problem lies and this tendency of his is in subconscious mind of his bashers out there.
