It was a mistake of sehwag, whether it was intentional or not that has to be seen...,there is some smell of bad intention also after looking d picture of run out...,
But a international crickter has to be attentive all d time, anyway it was Banladesh who has also scored 283, that was also worring for bowling dept, what d bowlers will do against good Batting.....LET'S SEE....

well looking at the replays, i have to say that it was sehwag´s mistake slightly..he was careless on the call

it was more sachin's mistake. sehwag would certainly have been runout had he responded blindly trusting tendulkar. sachin should have had a eye on sehwag's reaction before committing himself so badly. sehwag was clearly looking to see where was the ball and the fielder, sachin should have been patient and ready to retreat back in case sehwag was not responding.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes excellent cricketing comment on this site ...:)

Surely you would not have liked sehwag to get himself run out. Sehwag has by now partnered sachin so many times that he has developed a healthy (dis)respect for sachin's bad calling ... :)

it is Sehwag's mistake

From a cricketing sense sehwag should be attentive. It's sachin's call and he was running to danger end..

when we play top guns, gambhir and sehwag is a good combo..it is ok to play Sachin against minnows and give him some chance to make runs..against big teams, if we play Sachin, it will be suicidal

Any two among Raina, Sachin and Gambhir shall play - depending on the form and not by the sheer weight of the name. In soccer it is quite natural to substitute/drop a senior if he s not playing well. Cricket needs to attain that level of objectivity

Mohsin got an opinion so does everyone. If you disagree then quantify your statement, if not move on.
My country memen somehow think religion as a universal substitute for lack of supporting facts or logic.

you are correct mohsin, sachin can be given chance to increase his record and average against minnnows. against strong teams sehawg and gambhir are out best bet. actually playing sachin in the odi team is suicidal but perhaps he can be allowed to play against kenya, netherlands, namibia etc. he simply upsets the balance of the odi team and one promising youngster or another has to keep out. ideally out 6 specialist batsmen should be gambhir, sehwag, kohli, yuvraj, raina and pathan. but since we have to include sachin one of these 6 have to stay out of the team. really sad state of affairs.but what can one do about it? who can bell the cat?

yes, I do love cricket and it is indeed a good sign for the sport...:)

BTW, what about YOU? when are YOU going to watch cricket? Or is (playing and watching) marbles still your favourite sport? Why dont you try out cricket also? I assure you it is not a difficult game to learn and you are so intelligent that i am sure you will learn it fast...only in about 100 years ...:)

I mean if even I can learn the basics of this game cricket in 1 day, surely 100 years would be enough for you to learn the basics about cricket...:)

There was no run there
by Giridhar on Feb 20, 2011 09:08 PM  | Hide replies

It was Sachin's misjudgment to go for run before ball passed that fielder and Sehwag would have been run out otherwise. Team result is more important than individual records. But I understand that is sad way to get out.

Do you understand cricket a bit.. if a ball is at non striker end then it is a call for batsmen at strike for to go for a run or not as he is at danger end. if you see match, tendulkar has almost reached to non striker end when bnagladeshi fielder threw ball. which means there was a single.. i hope u understand what i mean

Both did mistake
by anand datar on Feb 20, 2011 08:58 PM

Both Sachin and Sehwag made blunders ! Sachin should have waited till the ball passes the feilder and Sehwag should have relied on Sachin's experience and backed him up, after all he was running to the less danger end and Sachin had almost reached the danger end. Anyway, henceforth they will be wiser, I hope.
