Why the cricket is being played only by 8 nations. It should be spread everywhere and coach properly. Atleast 20/25 team should be there. If ICC gives permission to all the cricket team to play frequently, eveybody will be grown up through proper coaching. Once in 4 year no team can play and win world cup. See how Kenya played y'day. They do not have any match practice against big teams.

Nobody wants to play cricket. It was played in the olympics once and then they decided that its of no use. Its only because no one plays that India has a chance and still they've managed to win the World cup only once. too much importance is given to cricket in India. Its a lazy game. It should be played in moderation.

very saw news for you is , cricket in the test format was included in olympics so it wasnt possible to retain it further , anyways who wants to see boring test matches? the sad thing at which you will be very disappointed is that cricket has been included at asian games and will very soon be part of olympics in 20-20 format , but bcci dont want to be part of olympics , they earn more than the sports whose only source of income and glory is at olympics.

lol asian games is the first step before something is included in the olympics , actually no cricket officials are interested in becoming part of olympics , they have big major income outside it , do fifa care about soccer at olympics? no they dont ,,,,,,,,,,, and all sports are business , its all about money , dont expect anyone to play anything without money , there is no free fake pride without money involved anywhere.

olympic glory must be ultimate but its mostly based on individuals , while team sports unite a nation and people are emotionally attached . even though argentina win gold medals at olympics , the people would mostly cherish the victory of there football team ,

cricket is on the verge of being included in the olympics , even though am not interested . Its a big money drawer , china included it in asian games , south korea are hosting it in 2014 and are building a cricket staduim , what does all this tell you?

yes they are hosting it and are building the infrastructure . during the asian games in qatar 2006 , the officials had made arrangements for a cricket ground but icc dont want to play in such events hence they withdrew.

I've mastered it and I can tell you, It's lazy. The indian Womans football team players will be much more fit than most of the our WC cricket team players.

It is nice if only the 6 major players like India,Pakistan,Srilanka,Australia,England,South Africa,New Zeland and West Indies be included in the world cup matches until the other teams rise upto the standard of these teams. Why these minnows are included for a defeat by 10 wickest or 200 runs? Rather a mini tournament can be conducted for these minnows so that the champion team of this tournament can be included in the world cup in place of the weakest team in team 8 if the former can beat the latter.
Well these top nations don't want cricket grow. Basically don't want more challenges. India and Paksitan had 3Games in 2007 just loosing one to Minnows doesn't mean they were out and revenue lost.Infact India had chance against Sri Lanka but hey lost again.Actually they never deserved place in Super 8's. That was best format where you cannot take any game lightly. So all teams will put maximum effort. This is stupid format with 6league matches. And Minnow they Qualify for worldcup 2years before world cup and how many matches they get to play before that. They should atleast play 3ODI's home and Away with Bottom 4 Full members like Bangladesh,Zimbabwe,West Indies,NewZealand/Pakistan. Before Entering world Cup.3Odi will take only a week out of heavy schedule for Test Sides. Directly brining them in Worldcup dosen't make sense. Canada kenya haven't played any Test Team since qualification in 2009 and directly played in WC. Well Ricky will remeber how Ireland nearly gave them run for money in July 2010 ODI. Even they leveled series with Bangladesh 1-1 and lost to Zimbabwe 2-1 and Netherlands won against Bangladesh in July/Aug Let them play more before world cup. Then only they will bring competitiveness in World Cup . Game Should Expand.So called Indian cricket lovers let me see how many go for SouthAfrica England or Lanka Vs NewZealand match in Mumbai. Check the Attendance. Indians only love Indian team playing. They are not true cricket lovers. Like England or Australi
Now I understand why no big sporting powers do not play cricket.
There are only 8 nations that play test cricket and these are grouped into 2 with 4 teams each in a group.
It is perfectly possible for a team to win the world cup by playing only one team and defeating it from the opposite group and thereby not at all playing 3 out of 8 and still emerge as a Champion. Even this does not mean that it has to defeat all other 4 big teams.
The world champion of 8 big teams need not play 3 and even may lose 1 from its group and has to actually defeat only 4 teams out of 8 and still be a WORLD CHAMPION.
That is why the ICC and BCCI are big idiots!
Atleast the top 8 teams should play a league format.
In that way, 1992 format was good as each nation played against each nation.

Yes. Only 8 teams should play against each other, no need to divide in two groups. And tge top 4 vie for SF berths.
have played well in the first match.To score 283 in 50 overs itself against a total of 370 itself is an achievement and display of charecter.They will become another better cricketing nation like Srilanka and give current established sides run for their money.
