reg the issue what happened in @ last world cup ,its clear that the aussie in question ,& aussie's in general are good at creating contraversies at the important event ,just like the last world cup they are trying to disturb the rythym on the indian team by disclosing these issues ,what was he doing all these 4 years !!

greg's theory was
by madhusoodan on Feb 05, 2011 11:59 AM  | Hide replies

may be greg's theory was:
1) India was opening with Sachin from over past 10 years and didn't win major world tournaments,
2) India had already succeeded with ganguly, shewag opening pair, the left hand right hand combination was gr8,
3) Greg wanted Robin Uthappa to come at no.3 because if Shewag gets out fast, he wanted another power hitter in place.
4) shewag was more dangerous in first 15 overs than Sachin.
5) It wud be great to have Dravid, Sachin in middle order as they have produced many splendid partnerships.
6) then at the death Yuvraj for for slog overs.
finally...
7) may be greg wanted SACHIN to play match winning responsible innings like MIKE hussey, Michal bevan, Symonds type, rather than scorring century at the opening and india loosing.

i dont think this theory was wrong either.
but fact is GREG cudn't impliment his theory completely, and our players also failed miserably in half implimented theory.

My dear friend, though Indians have not won many Icc tournaments but you should know that Sachin's presence in opening is a very big threat than Sehwag for opposition team, U can imagine bowler reaction after getting Sachin out,Sehwag always give bowler a chance but there is no strategy for Sachin to get him out", He is simply GOD OF CRICKET .

down the order & under pressure
by madhusoodan on Feb 05, 2011 11:56 AM  | Hide replies

sachin might be gr8 in scorring runs opening innings,
when when it came to batting down the order and match winning ability under enormous pressure mike hussey, michal bevan r rated much higher than sachin, sachin can't play under pressure and win game. thats why he was reluctunt to play down order & under pressure

Do really understand the meaning of under pressure? When is Indian under pressure?
have you ever been under pressure and how did to act at that time?

Stop talking nonsense...learn to behave and write well under pressure as you are now.

this also indicates that other batman are creating a pressure in match. Sachin when he plays in opening took pressure of all batman.

First f**k off the idea that in a team game a single player is a match winner (think wisely and not on any other comments or media reports), bowlers have to restrict the oppenents and 3 or 4 batsman has to score runs even if they are 20'a or 30's and one or two batters score more than others. Now a days even well known yesteryear players comments that how single handedly a batsman have won the match (Pity on them) but it never happened or happen or will happen in team game and for sachin he is one of the team member but much more great than others which he never claims he is !
