remember azhar's two eyed stance
by veerapuram dharan on Dec 31, 2011 09:00 PM

when the going gets tough, the tough gets going..during 96-97, when ind faced SA frequently in both home and abroad, azhar was the only player to have adopted the two eyed stance to counter attack the menacing afrikaners. remember, azhar and sachin partnerships used to be minimum 200 in every match they played against SA..why not some one adopt the same here? the aus are not defending bowlers, they always attack..take the bull by the horn should be the mantra..

you guys throw away a match that is winnable, and all of India wants is your hallowed century, and NOT win tests..so please get your Century and let peace prevail...personality worship in India, be it the Nehru Gandhis, be it Tendulkar is not going away soon.

Personal worshiping is destroying the country - be it in sport or politics. That is the basic nature of Indian people.

And all YOU want is for our batsmen to score less than 10 and win by an innings and 776 runs? Amazing!!! :-)

Self denial mode
by Syz on Dec 31, 2011 08:46 PM  | Hide replies

The current situation among the Indian players and public in general can be defined as a self-denial mode. In this mode, people understand the facts, but somehow convinces himself to ignore it and hope for the best. India knows the players are paper-tigers, they CAN NOT bat on fast track; but we still like to cling to hopes that somehow someone someday will score a big and save India. Wake up people; lets face the truth and appeal BCCI to remove these old players and bring new ones. New players may not score big at first, but still we can say they need time; we cannot say that for old players.

Pseudo, How so? You mean the new players failed to score the 292 runs needed to win? And the old players did score the 292 runs needed to win? Wow! What cricketing knowledge! AMAZING!!!

Well IMO IF Gambhir,Virat could havemade atleast 30 odd runs in both innings We would have won the match(we lost it by some 120/122 runs)..Is it too much to ask for new batsmen of atleast couple of years plus experience....?? I would say If two outta four Gambhir ,Virat,Dhoni,Laxman could have make 30/35 odd in each innings...

Vaidya:

First understand WHY we needed 292.. Becoz we were short by at least 100 in 1st.
214/3 to 282 I ask you.
This was a test match you see, not T20..

his contribution at mcg was the best among all..luks like hes the only one adept to facing bowlers in aus, rotate strike with tremendous strike rate..and if he scores big, every one will rally around him and contribute..they always look for sachin to contribute so that they can do their support roles to perfection..

Sydney was traditionally a spinner friendly ground with the ball not bouncing above stump level just like Indian conditions and that is why flat pitch bullas like the dwarf sachin and others thrived there..but not anymore...Sydney is now a fast pitch with grass on it..sachin will shiiit in his pants the ugly broad nosed monkey that he is

Dont get upset ..Ever Since Shoaib akhtar published his book, IPL was banned for Pak players etc ..There are some ppl from wonderful neighbouring country post venmous posting on rediff..All ppl there are not bad ...But its agenda of few..And its not their falut either..There institutions teach them all AntiIndia, Anti-other religion things right from school days...They dont knwo they are hateful towards otehrs they feel they r talking truth...The same way pattinson feels delivering 3 bouncers (in an over)on # 9 or # 10 is just the way he plays cricket...

Distraction of the Indian Team
by Bihar Badshah on Dec 31, 2011 07:02 PM  | Hide replies

Why Sachin son Arjun always accompany him on every tour, and seen practicing with him, it should be dad sachin how should be practicing his defence which has become very bad now..also Dhoni's wife too should be staying home and let hubby sweat before fast balling machine, his batting is a big flop..Why are we having all these distractions when team is not doing good?

Great So now pppl start talking abt SRt's son or Dhoni's wife...If one talks abt performance alone its ok but Is it fair to talk abt their personal life..?? If u think its distraction others think its support from loved ones...just different perspective...
