akram is very wrong when he points fingers at dhoni to divert the failure from real culprits and those being gambhir, kohli, etc. Akram message are mixed, some good and a lot of it is grey that hits wrong nail. Chappel is putting the same tactics to blame Dhoni. Hit the strongest first. the same bunch including chappel suggested to bring Praveen kumar because he swings both way, knowing well that it Praveen kumar is bunny of batsmen of players like Peitersen unless and until he works on his improvisation and re-habitation. same is true with ginger pacers like vinay kumar, mithun, pathan, etc.
Dhoni only mistake is to bring in those who he should not trust and they fool him again and again. They score on non-crucial occasions, talk sweet and dhoni gets fooled into bringing them back at expense of players he needs to bring in and nurture. Dravid and Laxman were a big failure, sehwag could not hold his nerves when needed.
Will gambhir tolerate Jaffer or Rahane being given chances, will kohli with his scheming and aAping ways tolerate Rohit? Will laxman give way to find younger bunch and transfer his skills??? that is one of indian problem. iIshant has to be motivated and given pat on his back to put more of zip in his game instead of being depressed by missed chances.
aus commentators want some indian bowlers who can swing both ways like praveen or vinay kumar or mithun/pathan/etc. REAL REASON - they wan some feeble slow pace bowler who can be beaten and can be used has whi

REAL REASON - they wan some feeble slow pace bowler who can be beaten and can be used has whipping boy. Praveen kumar has to reorient himself away from being the whipping boy of Peitersen and the likes.
UDRS has the same negative intent to control via technology and be at mercy of ICC appointed technician.

My playing 11 for SCG test:
Viru Gambhir(possibly last series to perform b4 drop) Dravid Sachin Laxman Rohit(No more chance to Kohli..he is proved many times that he is Yuvi in Test..should play only in ODI and T20) Dhoni Ashwin(his batting position should be ahead of Dhini in Test) UmeshYadav Zaheer Ishant
Wish team India good luck in 2012 and to every Indians.

Yeah Normally SRT dont talk much..But i think when the reporter from Daily graph asked something he had to reply...And he was as modest as always..Hope to see big score from him and team India and great match played well from both sides..At the end the better performing team will Win...And I hope its India this time...

Triple century? What a joke. First let him score a century first to get rid of 100th 100 burden

Yes for Indian Victory Sachin is must ,for example,do u still remember his immense contribution in WC finals which finally lead to WC Triumph and his performance in the last 5 Tests on foreign soils which lead to Indias 4-0 Victory in England and against AUS we are 1-0 up in the series!

:-)..,YOU said India needs him. Not me. So give All your diatribe to yourself. :-)
What does it mean when the best batsman of world says that SCG is his favorite ground. He is raising the hopes of millions of fans all around on the 100th 100.
However he should make the statements after putting some runs on the board that make India win.
Loss at MCG was humiliating and if he is the best batsman it was expected of him to rise to the occassion.
Not that others are not to share the burden but then they dont bear tag of the best batsman.
I dont understand his need to make such statements before he has proven that this is his favorite ground because he can score runs.
I just believe that he has found out what Siddle is doing with him. Time and again he has fallen to this particular bowler.

So When reporter from Dialy telegraph asks him how he feels about SCG what should he reply ohh yeah it was very humiliating at MCC, They all gave me best batsman tag, I couldnt make my 100th Ton blah blah blah or ..or yeah I liek here on SCG its my favourite ground..I feel very comfortable on SCG....compare both answers u will find where ur view stands

yes of course he should reply that it was very humiliating losing the first test. and if that is not correct he should have said it was not humiliating to lose the first test...

Seems SRT don't dwell on past negative events and always look forward taking next match positively...In simple terms its called "Move On"...

there is one player in the team who always ''Moves On'' (I refer to MSD) But many others, I mean many indian fans refuse to ''Move On''

Ya, many fans refuse to "move on" and accept the 5 consecutive test losses by Dhoni :) Truly, Dhoni has moved on from each defeat with no improvement :)

vrishti, pseudo, For once i have to agree with you...ya, many fans refuse to ''move on'' and accept the 5 consecutive test losses by sachin :} truly, sachin has moved on from each defeat with no improvement :}

pseudo captain alone is not responsible...if thats what you think then whenever sachin was not captain and we won the match sachin gets not credit for the win...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Risk of falling flat on your face
by Sunil Vaidya on Jan 02, 2012 05:12 PM
pseudo: it seems that according to you to get credit for win you HAVE to be captain of the team...what knowledge of cricket...AMAZING!!...:-)

Excellent point. Whosoever be the paper captain YOU know who YOU think leads the team. ;-)
Happy New Year team Ind and team Aus...Lets have great match at SCG ...And I hope all Indian batsmen contribute not just SRT, even if its his favourite ground..Of course SRTs 100th ton is always very attractive selling point so hopefully many would turn out for watching this test. Special best luck for Sachin...TEam Ind should win and equalize the series to make rest of the series interesting...Hope to see Rohit play in this...haps last chance for Gambhir..
