Where is ravi shastri? when we lost in england and won at home, he was telling thats the joy of cricket, cricket is a gr8 leveller coz it provides challenges to touring teams. So no matter series after series is whitewashed and turnout of the spectators are diminished coz of that, it augurs well for the game. Now what he says now? losing again is ok for him i think. or does he say that(abt glory of cricket) only when we win?.so that we can go on losing when we tour.

India or rather the celebrated Indian batsmen stood exposed against the Aussies. We are a nation doing hero worship. We want Sachin to hit his 100th 100 even if in the bargain India loses the game. In the process we make players stand above the team. Look at the Aussies. The media condemned Ricky Ponting who is vastly experienced and is the top scorer for them (only Sachin and Dravid are above him in the number of runs!) not because of his class but because of his relatively poor performance. He has come back like a phoenix scoring 62 and 60 (the top scorer of the test!)and silenced his critics. The moral is when even a class player does not preform criticize and there in nothing wrong in it. Because Cricket is life for them. But Indians treat Cricket as a trade to enrich the players and BCCI.So long money is earned come what may we stand by our own rules. Gautam Gambhir has not scored a hundred for the last two years, like Ricky Ponting. Have any our media, or commentators or columnists have said anything about it? Because we are patriots! Oppose DRS and still make money! Where is cricket in India? Only money, and money. On flat pitches our players are great (Look at Virat Kohli!) and in live pitches we have only 'zeroes'!
He is highly over rated. Never ever had Tendulkar performed in a crunched situation. It is is that the Indian want a record in their names that the board is hyping Tendulkar. Otherwise, the form and ability he is in, many young players can do it. He can only be considered great when he single handedly can win a match when others have failed.

Quite agree. Although his first innings 73 was no doubt good, he never EVER performs when the chips are down. He will surely score his 100th century in a match where a draw is certain and there is no pressure. And Sachin fans will start jumping up and down in joy.
