Dhoni should have ignored the hate and prejudice that is crashing India and should have included Rohit sharma in first match like they did during last series in Australia.
After the win, all the political selectors and captain would have bought their favorites in the subsequent matches. And the selected favorites would have lLeeched on the back of the winners to look better than the originals. But the haters pulled their hate trigger too early.
Ishant pressured the Aussies enough that batsmen applied caution to his bowling and tried their shorts on rest of bowlers and were out. Ishant has no option except stepping up, this time he has to find his own way. If it works, rest will follow and he has to move on. Indian bowlers should not forget their rehabilitation and recovery during the match such as to be well.

Re: Gambhir, Kohli uncomfortable against pace and bounce they need to latch on someone back to find way and then get fame. So they will eventually if they hang around. In case they take long to lLeech (could not latch or lLeech in first test), india will loose again.

With Aus being 27/4 in the 2nd innings, which captain (with brains) will try to set a defensive field? Dhoni has failed in all departments.

VAIDYA Baby, go to Yerwad/Sahakar/Sanghvi Kesari road/Moledina Road. You will find the best VETERINARY doctors there. Get treated for Dhoni Sir syndrome :)
Anything can happen but losing one test match does not warrant this type of pessimism. India still has the most formidable batting line up ever assembled in the history of the ame.

Singhji, forgot England series? It started with the same attitude (losing 1 test is not so bad, we will bounce back)...... What happened? With Aus being 27/4 in the 2nd innings, which captain (with brains) will try to set a defensive field? Dhoni has failed in all departments.

Why do u ask me "What about Sachin"? Did Dhoni outsource captaincy to Chotu Tendlya? Dumbo, I am speaking about captaincy flaw which happened yesterday, you started barking as usual.....

He has proved it over and over again. Chennai 387/4, Centurion 473 were probably the only two occasions where he showed spine and character recently. Otherwise, his performance is tame under pressure. This was a winnable match. But you can never count on Sachin when the team needs him the most.

Agreed, he has let the team down time and again and is painful to watch him play for records in the disguise of a team player!!

Right. We needed to score 573. One guy scores 105 while being the highest scorer in both innings. Other 10 guys can't get remaining 473. Let's blame the one guy and fire him. Then we get the team that we truly deserve

i think you forgot 119 in england, 114 in perth, 116 and 52 in mcg, 98 and 36 against australia, 214 and 56* against australia, 111 against SA, 146 against SA and many more. Though some of these knocks dint come in 4th inning but they came when there was no one to play with him.

Still he was the highest scorer, right? What happened to our so called more reliable Dravid and Laxman? Their failure do not count, what? And additionally virat failed in both the innings when he had a wonderful opportnity to cement his place in the team. Now MSD will experiment with Rohit and we are not sure if he will click. Put together, it was the total failure of our batsmen that had led to this defeat and and additing to that some really loose bowling and pathetic field placement for Ashwin by MSD that led the aus tailenders to score 60 plus runs for the last 2 wickets. While our batters need to show more patience, our bowlers need to learn to attack all the time.

This is not the answer to my question. Actually you have no answer that's why you are talking like this.
Big 4 of Indian Cricket are no doubt great players and have good individual records to show, but as a team they together are BIG FLOP on fast pitches overseas. We should accept that, even our God (Sachin) is not that great as a team..he may have lot of very big scores on some tough conditions but not for winning cause and again due regards to him cricket is a team game..Rahul may be a wall but is also no Gavaskar or Vengsarkar who single handedly use to draw matches against some really fast bowlers.. My soultion is we do not have skillset to counter fast bowlers and just coming 2 weeks before does not build your skillset..Even Sachin could not come out with winning answer..These failures should hurt him rest of his life..anyway all is not lost we are the richest cricket board, so my proposal is why can BCCI have 10-12 set of indian players stationed in Aus, UK , SA and NZ as an NRI and live and play cricket their with locals and whenevr indian team travels overseas take 5-6 players from this group..this will help us overcome skill factor and with so many indian IT firm having Lakhs of indian on different visa our board can definitely work that logistic out..Have 10 playes in each of the 4 fast pitches nation, and choose team from them..If Sachin can not pickup the skillset of tackling fast bowling and come as a winner for the team then no indian can who are living in india...My 2 cents..Very disappointed with our Political class and the Indian Cricket team.Goodbye 2011
The boxing day test match was a gift from MS Dhoni to his Australian counterpart. India were beaten in every department of the game. An analysis of the game shows -beginning from the captain on the way he manouvered the fielding in giving away runs by placing fielders in defensive positions rather than attacking, not communicating with his team mates, or changing the bowlers regularly after short spells. Our fielding too gave away too many runs through sloppy fielding and not backing up at the wicket. Our bowlers need to bowl in the good length spot all the time instead of all over the place. Mr Dhoni himself acknowledged this in the post match interview. Why Rohit Sharma has not been played in this match is staggering. Gautam Gambir has been out of form and has been continued with. One hopes the entire Indian team learn from the australians

What about the batting form of Mr. Dhoni himself. He is a big failure in overseas but master in flat piches.
We are short of 50 runs to Australia in both the innings and also let tailenders put some runs on board. Ashwin could not dominate neither the australian spinner as it was mainly pace friendly pitch. Kholi, Gambir, Dhoni has to improve on batting on this condition and should have played Raina in place of Kholi/Rohit for the tournament. Though Raina will also fail but should have got the experience. Laxman is a class player but should have played better as he have good experience in this conditions, he should mark his name this year and give way for youngsters. Overall the game was good much better than a Game in India! India should bounce back now - Dravid and Sachin should continue the form and with others contribution india can Win here atleast a match.
