Infight in the team
by ramdas shankaran on Aug 23, 2011 03:25 PM  | Hide replies

There is no reason India, the No. 1 team, lose to England. In infight between the players or the BCC with players was the reason for this. It will come out one day.

The Reason Why Sachin was Never a Good Leader
by rajashi ghosh on Aug 23, 2011 03:02 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin is a diplomat to the core. He does not want to be controversial. That's why he was not a good captain. He could not pose difficult questions to himself or his teammates. That's why he chose to take the easy way out, give up captaincy.

Compare that with what Anna Hazare has done. He has singlehandedly shaken the corrupt establishment. He has sacrificed his food, his peace to raise such a cruical issue. This is what leaders are all about. They can never be diplomatic.

Move On...!
by jayateerth joshi on Aug 23, 2011 01:54 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni - Do good preparation for post match presentation speech rather than match.

Sehwag & Gambhir - Totally uncomfortable in this series, wanted to show there heroics against monster attack (like showing style in-front of Rajanikanth).

Raina - Play him only on flat tracks...big waste in foreign conditions.

Tendulkar-- Supreme legacy, he knows when he has to take call..leave him alone...

Dravid - Thanks from all the english supporters, who made them to watch this series for some extra days.

Laxman- Most of the commentators say his style of batting does not suited for his style of batting...so dont know what to do.

Sreesanth--make him association head for cheerleaders.

Zaheer khan-- I think he wanted the treatment in england not in johansburg...thats why he opted to play initially.

RP singh-- Tell him that u r a fast bowler.

Mishra--Hope he wont be another irfan pathan (who forgot his bowling by his few sublime innings with bat).

Harbhajan-- Time to say good-bye (long q is waiting for chance)

Batting woes
by Eapen Oommen on Aug 23, 2011 01:32 PM  | Hide replies

I am just a supporter of the Indian team even I can't sleep properly yesterday, by thinking of such a huge humiliation that INDIA has faced. India lost before also in such a way, but lost against excellent teams like westindies, Aussies etc. Winning & loosing is part & parcel in sports. But the way we are loosing is very important. The same team has performed very well. Questions must have asked against the selection of injured players and not playing munaf instead of "Mr. INDIA SREESANTH SIR" whose performance is cannot be described in words. Srilanka has lost only once and drawn twice against the same attack. PAK without there full strength have won 1 match against them. This is the worst defeat INDIA faced in the history of INDIAN SPORTS and people responsible for this should not be spared at any cost. Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Gavaskar, Kapil, Venserkar, Azhar all has become popular by playing internationlly well and not by playing IPL. From 265 for three slipping to 283 allout must not be pardoned. Atleast we can easily avoid the innings defeat. The 11 Indian players has given the worst humiliation ever for the Indian cricket history.

It is poor leadership & underpreparation that has sink us
by pradeep agarwal on Aug 23, 2011 01:15 PM

Dhoni melted under pressure & failed completely as batsman,Keeper & unfortunately also as a leader. The way he threw away his wicket in most cavalier fashion when all needed was caution clearly shows that he has lost touch with ground realities. The fame & money has gone to his head & calling performance of his batters as bit below par can't be poor knowledge of English but arrogance. He has made so much money & name without really been tested under alien conditions thanks to over indulgence of BCCI that gave him most of the big matches in home conditions where pitches are made to his order. It will be in the interest of Indian Cricket if he improves his keeping & batting which was nothing short of disaster or else his continuance as captain will soon be under scanner of board.

IPL Dalima
by Eapen Oommen on Aug 23, 2011 01:00 PM

Because of IPL, we have lost technically correct batsmen, IPL needs batsman like pathan, raina etc. These players cant even defend a ball properly in overseas conditions. If the three trios (Laxman, Dravid & Sachin) retire, then our next best batsman is dhoni (I DONT KNOW SEHWAG WILL PLAY AGIAN FOR INDIA), whose overseas batting technic is pathetic. Our bowling without Zahir is pathetic. If India needs pride we must perform well internationally. We must promote (financially) players like Rahane, Jaffer, Pujara, karthik, parthiv etc. We must not entertain players like sreesanth, raina, pathan & even dhoni. The Australian tour will again be a huge humiliation for us. The fighting spirit has lost. The capsule cricket has taken our fighting spirit. As boycott say we must entertain other sports also. Mishra shown there is no danger in the pitch and also broad, anderson & bressman are not in the caliber of walsh, ambrose, akram, waqar, macgrath etc. Indian players are thinking why should be waste our energy in tests. "PLAY IPL EARN MONEY, INTERNATIONAL FIXTURES GO TO HELL"
