No retrospection is necessary as the writing was clearly on "THE WALL" after the first test. well it was a collective failure and it is a shame that we never stood up (except Dravid) to the pace and swing of English bowlers. Dravid was very tentative during the SA series against Morkel and Steyn but somehow he got out of his shell..Before Aus tour, we must, in some way regroup. Take bold decisions to drop non performers and inject willing players who can perform...Do not go by lucky charm..People think VVS has a liking for Aus and he will score all the time when playing against them...it is not so..given the current form, only dravid and to some extent praveen kumar are fit to make it to the Aus tour..the team should get a spiritual counselling, stop being complacent and should believe they can outperform any other team...after all, they also have only two arms and two legs..they also have the same 22 yards, three plus three stumps and the same red cherry. Make sportive pitches back home..ensure all the players, Grade A or B or C should play all the domestic tournaments...try to increase the pace of our bowlers..give a muddy pitch in India, no one wil try to bowl over 130..its a rarity for our bowlers to reach 140kmp which the aussies have made a habit...pull up, stand up and be counted...i dont know if my post can be read by the team, atleast if it reaches to them, through some means, i hope we can see a change...Thanks...

Well Sir...where did he perform in this series..barring the fluent 40 in the third test..he was not his old self..plesae dont include the 91 in the last test...he had 5 strokes of luck and gave as much chances to the opposition..if he needs a break, ask him to take it and start playing rather than playing like this...if he or for the matter anyone is not playing well, they are bound to receive criticism...why are u shouting that too with lot of spelling mistakes

why only sachin? wht abt Dhoni, Sehwag, Raina. If u want to throw out players then throw these trio first.
A player out on field for 2 days, and then with bat for 2 days, any common sense captain would not have made, Dravid play again without rest. Very difficult for a tired player to concentrate once again, that too 2nd innings. The best thing what he could have done is gamble with Ghambir's wicket again, in any case if he was going to push and prod in the end, he could well do it in the beginning. Another option would have been to send a tailender like Ishanth so that the main batsmen were protected till the ball got old. But Dhoni seems to have just gone through the motions this whole series and not applied himself as a thinking captain

But doctor use to say concentration does not evaporates within the short span of time. May be science is wrong.

s.....Gambhir should have opened and Dravid should have batted lower in the order. I thought Dhoni may lead by example by opening, as he dared to bowl few overs.
We are world champions till 2015 and euphoria will stay for another 25 yrs. There are 11 stars born somewhere in India who will bring back to us the glory of WC championship for India in 2035. Hope there is another Sachin Tendulkar/Kapil Dev born as of today in some corner of India who will smash all the records of Bradman and Sachin . We will regain our number 1 spot in 2035.

stop blaming sachin. hag to sabne dia phir sachin hi kyu bhugte.
Is Sachin had any important role for winning any series for INDIA ?He piled up runs as his age grown up,other than piling up runs do any of his Innings denote/refer/cherish for importance. Look at the India Population. There are many youngsters waiting for a chance and it is very disgusting to see the role play behind by some sorts of group ? BCCI ? Selectors ?regional Commentators ? allowing him to play for such a long period by denying geniune young players.
It is high time to apply force by all like BCCI, Selectors, Bombay commentators,Ex-players to make him retire or else to take a hard decision by BCCI and Selectors?

eventhough we can say sachin is not a match winner or not done anything for team we have to admit even at this stage he is fit to play in team than any other youngsters such as raina or kohli or anybody

Such a caliber batman SRT should have scored good to avoid follow on in first innings, but everytime he failed in expectation. What records will do, if he cannot perform well when India desire him in crucial period.

@Asim: if you talk about Caliber...what about the Very Very Special Laxman...he is been personified as the only saviour of Indian cricket team when in trouble...what happend?..not one, not two but four test matches and 8 innings...

Generally Failed People when FAIL, THEY BLAME ON WHO IS PERFORMING QUITE OFTEN.
in australia both coach/captain resigned... but shameless captin cool is calm and happy and blaming others for loss as usual... and then there are shameless traitors sehwag/zeher and yuvi who bribed to get fitness certificates and be part of touring party...

Dear stupid, he talking about the Indian captain and the coach not the australian captain. Indian Captain was SRT
IF SENIEOR PLAYERS ARE NOT PLAYING WELL THEN GIVE THEM BEAK, IF AT ALL YOU WANT TO LOSE THEN WHY YOUNGSTERS TO BE TRIED, AT LEAST SELECTORS CAN INCREASE BENCH STRENGTH. EXPERIMENTS ON SENIOR ARE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. SACHIN IS FELLED IN HIS PERFORMANCE, HOW MUCH TO SUSTAIN HIM NOW INFO UGH IS INFO UGH. HE MUST RETIRE OTHERWISE ALL FANS WILL CONVERT IN TO DANDAS.THIS SHOULD SHAME TO SACHIN WHO IS SO CALLED GOD OF CRICKET SACHIN IS FIT FOR BHARAT SELFISH RATNA
