Let us be more gracious in acknowledging the strength of opposition. This pace & spin attack has sunk Aussies by 3-1 margin down under & also bowled out SLanka in 2 hrs.Indian batsman were under extreme pressure due to consistent accuracy & pace of trio followed by sharp turn from Swan. They just catapulted under pressure & lost by margin not seen by current generation of cricket India followers

Only marketing, no merit !!
by Tera Baap on Aug 23, 2011 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

Where are those jockers who talked of retiring old players to give chance to young blood ?
Where is that trio of commentators : Gavaskar, Shastri & Bhogale ?
Where are those who explained that Suresh Raina is the best cricketer ?
Where are BCCI, selectors & Srikanth ?
Just to make money, all these crooks kept on providing Indians with non sense stuff in the name of cricket & marketed rubbish ignoring real merit. When quality & merit are forgotten, you get such results, nothing to wonder.
There is more money in IPL & ODIs, so why bother about Test matches !!!
Be sure, these crooks will again start selling all these rotten stuff again. The more you get fooled, the more they make money - each of the above idiots !!

U R Absolutely right. But the saddest part is that those Big Mouth shameless fellas will be same and our on field Heroes also will remain same as for them this feelings does not carry any meaning. All of them including BCCI Officials,Selectors and so called Legendry commentators care hooks for 10 Million Indians sentiment. We fools here will pamper them again as God.Personally I am very happy with the result as we were made to realise the reality.

Need a change
by Srinivasan Rajagopal on Aug 23, 2011 12:02 PM

No retrospection is necessary as the writing was clearly on "THE WALL" after the first test. well it was a collective failure and it is a shame that we never stood up (except Dravid) to the pace and swing of English bowlers. Dravid was very tentative during the SA series against Morkel and Steyn but somehow he got out of his shell..Before Aus tour, we must, in some way regroup. Take bold decisions to drop non performers and inject willing players who can perform...Do not go by lucky charm..People think VVS has a liking for Aus and he will score all the time when playing against them...it is not so..given the current form, only dravid and to some extent praveen kumar are fit to make it to the Aus tour..the team should get a spiritual counselling, stop being complacent and should believe they can outperform any other team...after all, they also have only two arms and two legs..they also have the same 22 yards, three plus three stumps and the same red cherry. Make sportive pitches back home..ensure all the players, Grade A or B or C should play all the domestic tournaments...try to increase the pace of our bowlers..give a muddy pitch in India, no one wil try to bowl over 130..its a rarity for our bowlers to reach 140kmp which the aussies have made a habit...pull up, stand up and be counted...i dont know if my post can be read by the team, atleast if it reaches to them, through some means, i hope we can see a change...Thanks...

PART OF GAME
by utsav contractor on Aug 23, 2011 11:57 AM

VICTORY AND LOSES ARE PART OF GAME. BUT YES WHITEWASH LOSE IS DEFINATELY CREATING DOUBT ON ABILITY OF OUR CRICKETER ASPECIALLY WHEN WE WERE NO. 1 TEAM BEFORE THE SERIES. I BELIEVE SOMETHING GOING WRONG WITH BATTING SIDE. FROM WEST INDIES TOUR, WE ARE STRUGGLING IN SCORING 300 RUNS. RAHUL DRAVID IS THE ONLY BATSMAN WHO SCORED CENTURY IN WEST INDIES AND ENGLAND. SEHWAG, SACHIN, GAUTAM, RAINA, DHONI ALL GET FAILURED TO PLAY IN ENGLAND CONDITIONS.

My THoughts
by Srinivasan Rajagopal on Aug 23, 2011 11:48 AM  | Hide replies

If at all there was one person who screwed up dravid's career, it was dilip vengsarkar. He showed double standards while dropping him...But dravid showed his class..dilip may be a great player but he is not a good ambassador of cricket..ATP has an award called Sportsmanship award, named after my favourite gentle giant Stefan Edberg, likewise ICC should create an award for sportsmanship in cricket in the name of Rahul..Long live Rahul... May god bless you with longevity and bless us in making us watch you bat on and on and on and on in Tests. Gud Luck

@SRajagopal, I am glad you finally realized the class of Dravid and have some good words for him. My heart went out for Dravid watching him carry his bat through the innings and again come out to bat. Which Indian batsman can be so selfless. Gambhir could have gone out to bat, he did not. Neither Laxman nor Sachin. After scoring a fantastic 146 not out against an attack where everyone else failed, there was one lone crusader or warrior who stood tall against the English bowling.

Hope from now atleast, you will stop posting comments abusing Dravid.
