Mr. Srikanth

You were one batsmen without any technique in your time. Your only style was to slog the ball with closed eyes. What would you understand about playing in English conditions.

Your own scores in England tour of 1986 were 20, 0, 31, 8, 23 & 23 total of 105 in 6 innings at an average of 17.33 as an opener.

Now you are not ready to accept any responsibility for this defeat as a selector.

Suits you indeed because as a player you never took any responsibility except in Rothman's cup final in 1984 but that was an ODI.

What are you trying to say? No use in above comment. Nothing to do with Srikathn batting and selection.

what's wrong with u??? as a selector he can only select ppl not play for them... if sachin or laxman or zaheer or baji does not play well what can a selector do???

u got to blame the cricketers for this series loss. they didn't care to play 1 decent session in the last 3 tests... and they don't retire as well... blocking chances for numerous youth waiting in line...

exactly. when india won the world cup did anyone say "ah the selectors are so wonderful". everyone talked about how dhoni played well. surprising that in defeat people just tear the selectors apart.

Don't you share some responsibility for this defeat? Who selected a team of aging veterans, unfit players, and Abinav Mukund?

you fool mukund played better than gambhir, and also it is just a first series for a youngster, 21 years, he even scored 100 in tour game, better he should have been selected in place of sehwag, who just recovered, fools like you never understand the cricket game.

You may be a joker ? Abinav Mukund just 21 year scored a 100 in the tour. NO yuraj, gambir, sewag did that. And Shrikkanth selected the world cup winning team.

hello biased singh. you seem to talk about every cricketer in the indian team except your fellow sardar who hasn't done jack shit this series. how about we address that before being critical about other issues.

angrez prepared well under their program to be number 1. Well assisted by DRS, etc.

this is nothing but poor preparation and overestimation of one's ability, simply being no.1 does not guarantee we won't lose so badly

about Indian cricket team

With due respect sir... after watching the way they batted I thought that it was some gully cricket team playing. There was not commitment from anyone. There body language just does not have that aggression required. They should better practice for the next IPL tournament then wasting there time in playing with international teams abroad. After all IPL will be held in India not in some other country.

point to ponder, india has no program to be number 1.

while Team India A can play IPL once in two years, Team B and Team C can play every years and also play second rated teams per ICC schedule.

As if the bowling was awesome!
by LOL on Aug 15, 2011 11:23 AM  | Hide replies

Bowling was pathetic. If Srikkanth believes that Batting alone will save the day for him, he is probably living in fools paradise. Its always been a great disadvantage for India not to have couple of worldclass bowlers. How can one team score 700 runs against a team that is world no 1 on a bouncing and fully alive track? Sree...please do some deeper analysis instead of passing arbitrary remarks..just like how you have played in your times.....

I think you need to realize that the bowlers need to have something to bowl at. We haven't been able to cross 300 once in this series. Dravid has been the only batsman to have scored a hundred. What happened to the much celebrated Tendulkar ? Ok , you can always say that he can't be the one to contribute forever. How about failing through 3 matches in a row ? There is no point sticking around just because you like the game. I'm sure even ganguly loves the game , so does kumble. That way Dravid is such a gentleman and an absolute icon.

RS what a fool you are ... or GHORA AGENT here

Re: Tendulkar is th edifference...

WHILE tendulkar enjoyed TENNIS tournament in Angrezland.

WHILE tendulkar enjoyed TENNIS tournament in Angrezland, angrez where practicing hard with precision for their PROGRAM TO BE NUMBER 1.
tendulkar weakness allowed DRS double edged sword (or dual purpose tech as ghora say) to allow angrez to gain confidence in Test 1 by making BCCI sign partial DRS.

Dhoni was lone fighter in last test, Tendulkar cannot fight bowlers who have lot of confidence in last 3 test. Let us see what happens in 4th. too late to try someone new who these seniors and gang have pushed out far? No program for them either.
