opening wicket stand plus fresh bolwers will help
by rama anne on Aug 14, 2011 12:38 PM  | Hide replies

Fix opening wicket partnership in batting

Fix bowling ( what I maen Zaheer is good so is Ishant) but we need two more such bowlers as reserve strength as part of squad

if tired ,,let ishant or xaheer sit out a test match ,,then for that test he be replaced with a fresh bowler ,,next match let Zaheer or ishant return back

WACA like decks in India to be created and our batsman tested and hardneed up

Dadas Team India when it toured has had fighters

KUMBLE - very very hard fighter keeps on bowling
SHEHWAG - attacked or scored brisky as a opener and Gambhir gave company

so if we could get back to India opening wicket stand and score of 120 for 1 or 100 for 1 we will be back in the business

This time English bowlers very tall ,,broad shoulders and used that to their advantage

I have seen short pitched and bouncy stuff - Abhinav Mukund raised with bat to defend ( Iam not blaming) but ended up with a catch to slips

then with score on 10 for 1 or 20 for1 Dravid has to come to crease

If you compare and view tapes of Indias last tour to Australia
Shehwag made sure we put at least a 100 runs before wicket fell
then dravid came to crease

Shehwag also took on brett lee ,,shane watson and johnsons with equal measure

Ball got a bit worn off

atleast two sessions were consumed before a wicket fell

This time in England no such luck for India - opening wicket quickly fell ,,then walked Dravid all in the first session ofcourse english bowlers and the ball are all still fresh

I request Team india to get hold of those tapes and ask DADA (Suarav Gangulay ) to come to the team hotel and together whole team view those tapes

Let the players encourage each other and let Shehwag help Abhinav Mukund to toughen up

also TEAM India needs to contact Michael Slater in Australia ,, last time I heard ,,Australia purchased a bowling machine they purchased it from USA(IT IS base ball machine but aussies modified to make it work for cricket)

Michael Slater says ,,they can make the machine simualte almost all fast bowlers in the world

This machine is used in Cricket Academy in Australia

Ask BCCI to purchase one such machine for Team India

BCCI

Why Dhoni is scared to say, they play too much of cricket. BCCI should open the eyes and see it. BCCI is the culprit not the player. They are human beings, play cricket almost 365 days and keep on winning, not possible. On the top of this... players have to play IPL. Shame on you BCCI.

Tamed India and the bunch of Morons in Blue

Each and every individual of the team and the team as a whole stands thoroughly exposed. shame on them! we call them greats when they can't perform in alien atmospheres and can only perform in flat home pitches. what happened to our great pace bowlers? they looked pedestrian and hardly posed any threat. Ishant and Harbajan deserve to be dropped. Let Tendulkar call it a day. We can not give him series after series to score his 100th ton. Dhoni looked bereft of ideas and save for the final test, looked thoroughly out of sorts with the bat. Why is it always the TN players made the scapegoats? while the whole team failed, why drop Mukund alone and that too after scoring that 100 in the practice game while others failed to make an impact even in that game? Mukund is a lot better than Raina when it come to test cricket. They proved, they're not Gods or Heros as they made out to be and are mere mortals. Failure in an innings is ok and is understandable. failing time and again can not be digested by any means. Team India has shown the world that, they don't deserve to be world No.1 at all.

BCCI - should open its power centre and let there be a panel

allow ex players isnide the decision and planning like Kirti azads ,,kapils or vengsarkars etc

2.Let BBCI announce 50 scholarships and pick up 14-16 yrs Rural youth from UP ,,HARYANA AND AP ,,bihar ETC as potential Indias fast bowlers ,,their degree education as well as cricket bowling coach is to be funded by BCCI ,,it will not cost that much

They can be lodged in NEW DELHI CWG STADIA facilities ,,let Madan Lal or Kapil dev mould those kids ,,by the time 18 yrs old they will be ready to be tested in Ranji and Indian team

BCCI instead of importing foreign coaches(iam not against) is better off importing WACA grounds man and ask him to recreate such a deck in India at Mohali or Nagpur

let the Indian team play a Ranji kind of match on that track before going abroad

all Abhinav Mukunds ,,Murali Vijays ,,Pujaras as well as senior players should score well

if openers are not scoring ,,then selectors go for next one in the wings

we need strong opening wicket stand -especially
England
Australia
South Africa
have very strong bowling line up that will tear apart the Indian batsmen if openers do not stand up

For the openers to stand up ,,they need foreign conditions and practice at Home in india

Dhoni's craps
by indira on Aug 14, 2011 12:16 PM

Dhoni commented that the team should not be judged by one series loss and one or two test match losses don't matter. Of course the loss doesn't matter but the manner in which we lost, going down like cowards definitely matters. We know that win and loss are part and parcel of any game but the manner in which you play is most important. He also said that every overseas tour helps one to improve as a player and one should not be bothered to change the technique and all that crap. No team plays overseas to improve their skills but to win the matches. As a playerhe should also know that changing the technique is very important inorder to adapt to the conditions prevailing in a place. Besides the captain, the three senoir most players who have played for more than 15 yrs together should also share the resposibility for this debacle. I think it is high time a rotation policy should be adapted to include only one senior player per match so that the youngsters will get a chance to play and improve.

Dhoni's reposte
by Ashish Kumar on Aug 14, 2011 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

By scoring 77 and 74* Dhnoi has said to his world famous godly batsmen that batting was after all not that difficult. What these batsmen could not muster was the courage to stand before snorting balls and take hits. Well done Dhoni.

correct good point man I agree Dhoni did score

Key is opening wicket stand -
EACH opening batsman should score more than 50 ideally 60 or 70 or 80 runs before getting out

that will make india score read as 120 for 1 or 150 for 1 (atleast minimum 100 for 1)
also two complete bowling sessions should be consumed

Last time India toured Australia under Dada(Sourav Gangulay) Shehwag made sure every time he score more than 50 some times he attacked
Brett Lee
Shane watson
and Johnson

Then when Dravid or Laxman score line was 120 for 1 or 110 for 1

Foundation was laid
this is the key
current english tour no such luck

By captaining his side brilliantly Andrew Strauss has said to the World famous Dhoni that captaining was after all not that difficult.... What Dhoni could not muster was the catptaining skills instead of riding his usually brilliant luck!! :)
Well done Strauss! :)

Planning is the key

Lots of wrong answers and questions

On any foreign tour especially Australia ,,england or South Africa

opening wicket score is the key ,,that means a score line of minimum 120 for 1 or even 110 for 1 should be the norm

At least opening wicket stand should last 2 sessions until tea (if batting first )
this will make ball gets old and opposition bowlers a bit tired or tested upfront

Bowling
======
India should have 2 Zaheers or Ishants in reserves India need one Tean coach plus bowling coach

Solutions
=======
Create WACA PERTH LIKE decks or pitches in Mohali or Nagpur

Let the potential touring squad especially opening batsmen and middle order be tested in a ranji trophy match with fast and bouncy bowling

only when they score good runs ,,let the openers get the spot

If we do not do the above India for next 100 years will not win test series abroad

Only Suarav Gangulay cared about test series and team india ,,he worked hard with Brisbane Hundred and that series with hard work of Kumble ,,shehwag and sachin made a good test series with Australia

I heard some Indians tell me Azhars team ,,when it toured was wiped in 5 test match series

If India needs to win abroad ,,they just cannot play on batting friendly and spin tracks and then come abroad only to discover they did not put enough runs on board

ALSO SOME Serious thoughts should go why India cannot create Good fast bowlers as a bench strength

Touring team should be no less t

some people are saying Sachin or Laxman or Raina
I do not think you can create middle order batsman just like that it takes time and maturity

============
Last time India toured

SHEHWAG scored good that as an opener india made more than 120 or 100 in every test before losing a wicket ,,that tested brett lees ,,johnsons etc and also the ball is a bit worn off

This emglish tour opening wicket quickly fell at 20 or 10 runs most times

Dhoni is he captain
by sruthi naidu on Aug 14, 2011 11:35 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni situations and made him a Successful captain not because of his decisions. In fact that also will prove soon.
How he is success-ed:
because of good team, and their team work to retain their place in team. That situation unfortunately he became captain. and got consequent success.
Now, everybody saturated in the team and getting good compensation.

Now India lost No.1 Rank in test cricket. so why should they worry?

BCCI why don't give captaincy to people who really plays for India. like Sehwag!
