his comments are standard public relation exercise.
it is demoralising for top order batsmen to realise the Dhoni onwards are going to fail continuously.

also without a solid score, it will be impossible for the bowlers to put in their best foot forward.

Reality Check
by NYY on Aug 15, 2011 08:42 AM  | Hide replies

Why is everyone blaming IPL for everything? Harbhajan's decline started nearly 2 years ago. No team can expect to run through any line up with just one Zaheer Khan. Indian middle order reached 35 years old a few years back. Its all about poor planning and lack of vision. Pujara, Rahane, Tiwary..etc are atleast 5 years away from the international standard. And it is such a shame that we cannot fine atleast 50 youngsters (& train them) from 1.3 billion who can bowl 140 . I think it may take another 4-5 years for Indian team to rebuild.

Is master blaster ever hero for all the time to come? He should have been rested long back. Only because of powerful lobbying, he continues in all forms of the play. It's only to make him great hero by exaggerated hypes. When Tom, Dick and Harry of Cricket scoring merrily, this great struggled to reach even 50. In spite of all this, he will be Bharat Ratna also soon. Let his lobbyists try for Knighthood like Sobers, Worrel or Richards. They will then understand this great's real worth.

Who blamed individuals like Bhajji and Zahir?

They were injured and that's why they were replaced.

Everyone of our player had their moments of glory. Tendulkar was a hero for sometime, so was Ganguly, Dravid, Zaheer, Kumble...etc.. But its time to move on. No use living in the past. Look to the future.

Agarkar progressing well
by Chellapan on Aug 15, 2011 06:00 AM

Agarkar's tread-mill sessions are going well ahead of a recall to Indian team.
BCCI has asked Agarkar not to exert himself too much on the tread-mill so that he does not get any injury

World Champions
by Venkatachalam on Aug 15, 2011 05:46 AM

West Indies ruled over the Test Arena for more than a decade and so did Australia. It is only India who were the champions for the shortest time.

One cannot take injured players in the team with the hope that they will bail out the team in some matches. Shewag and Zaheer should have been left behind to recoup in India for the subsequent series.

It is time we sincerely groomed some young players with the future in view rather than play for immedite glory. Anyway the world can be ours if in the fourth test our own Sachin gets his 100th century which is what every Indian hopes for rather than series win1

Dhonis' pretense of humility is uncalled for.
Before the tour he was busy shooting for an ad denigrating a fellow team mate .
What is appallin is not the loss but the attitude of Dhoni and his team . If the India A team had been sent , the result would not have been different , but atleast they would have put up a fight .
Dhoni will come back , perform well in the Champions League , please hios master at India Cements and go back to doing what he is best at - shootiong ads.

Time to Retire Sachin by Force
by Vijay Kurhade on Aug 15, 2011 01:31 AM  | Hide replies

if not forced him to retire; he will keep on holding board to emotional ransom n play forever for his records. He didnt went to UK for scoring but looks like he was on Family vacation, biggest letdown of series was his record n how he missed it. Play him to Bangladesh n let him get that 100th century n retire now for good.

I actually like the idea of his playing and creating some records. At least we will avoid such humiliating situations like the current series.... Right? :)

too much swing for england bowlers
by Arvind gupta on Aug 14, 2011 11:50 PM  | Hide replies

the ball which bowled rahul dravid in 2nd test was a leg spinner at 145 km.tendulkar plays forward and ball swings 1ft.it has never swung so much in england in last 15 years.it is only newly introduced DUKE ball which has played its part.had zaheer been there england would also have been in trouble and they were in trouble in both the 2 tests being 6 for 91 and 124 for 8 but survived.if this NEW DUKE BALL is thrown at 145 kms it gets 1ft to 2 ft swing.

Well observed... India should complain to the ICC as to why OUR bowlers were not given the same DUKE balls? ;-)
