Too much cricket!!!
by Naveen Kumar on Aug 14, 2011 06:38 PM

The selfish BCCI should wake up atleast now and stop the nonsense ways to make money and give people break. There was also a point made some stupid "Ex" Cricketer if they need break they should take it. In these competitive times how the players will take a break only when the player health review system is being maintained and proper rotation of the players is being put in place. First ask all the politicians to stay away from cricket boards next... no person with age more 58 years should be allowed to be in a power positions... God only knows the only this age has been applicable to hard working and only tax paying employees from both public and private sector!!!!

Pawar get down of the BCCI position first then have right people manage right positions.

India's poor performance.

They need to stop worshipping Tendulkar and need to retire him immediately.
Sehwag who does not use his brains while batting should not be included in the team until he has proved to be a mature batsman. His last minute recall to the team proved that he is useless. He bagged the distinction of a double bagel in tennis this time, both times being out in the first ball.
Finally the cricket board has to go by merit only.

RIGHT. country cannot suffer losses until tendul manages to get his 100th hundred.

selection should not be left to selfappointed selectors. before each series, 50 prospective players should be assembled and asked to play against themselves for 3 days or 300 overs. top sixes of those who get max runs, wickets and catches should be included in the group selected, not those who pamper the selectors.

It's unfortunate the way our former cricketers become so critical about team India's performance once the team loses. We've a tendency to forget the immediate past when we become so critical. Guy's for god sake, this is a team which has given us so much to cheer over the past 4-5 years. They've won in places where our earlier cricketers found pride in securing draws...forget winning!!.
I'm all for our Indian cricket team, it is just one of series. But I've faith in our boys, they've made us proud. They've brought home the Cup of Glory, they have given us Indians several reasons to feel happy and cheerful.
It is time we stand by our cricketers and let them know that they have our full support.

Dhoni & Team need a break. Too Much cricket is not good. BCCI needs to keep plan B and Plan C in action. When they win you praise them too much and when they loose you critisize them agin too much. It is very easy for all of us(including the former Indian Players) to Critisize the team for loosing three matches on the trot. We have not seen a better team after kapils 83 team for a long time. Just give them a break and they will come back strong. Tendulkar, Dravid and laxman have always and will always bee the backborne of the team till they continue palying international cricket. My only suggestion to team india is just enjoy whatever you do. That will relax you and you will see results happening. (Prashanth, Bangalore)

I think the indian team mentally and morally got exhausted, eversince the IPL got started. The match schedule are so hectic and long,it saps energies of every player. since its highly lucrative, all most all the senior players played the matches and finally got screwed up. Even robots will have their gears worn out with such maniacally hectic cricket. The Indian team paid for it. The English are rejoicing with glee and were envious of IPL. All indian players need a two year vacation @ Andamans!!!

LEAVE DHONI AND TEAM INDIA ALONE
by Juniper on Aug 14, 2011 05:54 PM  | Hide replies

If there is anybody to be blames then it is the people who run the BCCI who makes decisions on how much cricket we play and who plays it. BCCI is all out to make money so if you guys need to say something then please say it to all at the BCCI and leave team India alone.

Hi Juniper,

This argument is not correct, if I may say so.

When India wins, the players are rightly feted. When the team loses, they should atleast face some flak.

Otherwise, we will never have any pressure on them, and everything will become very blase.

Lets just accept that England were the better team and [correspondingly], India were the weaker team. Yes, injuries did not help us at all. But for what is a one sport country, where is the famed bench strength?
