Are we missing a certain somebody..who was the butt of ridicule for all racist commentators since he was the man who stood up against racism (unlike his docile predecessors)....and despite his faulty technique, scored a few runs and instilled a sense of belief in his teammates? He is past 38 now...BUT I guess his mental strength was much better than the nincompoops we see now...India is still to find a suitable replacement even a couple of yrrrrrrrrrrs after his retirement. Was that forced retirement justified?

yes...Good innings by Dhoni...but he lacks the maturity to take it forward! The whole England bowling was at his mercy with ridiculously spread out field...if he had continued for another 10 more overs...they would have got their spinners before they took new ball...since the pacers were tiring...he would have had a better chance of scoring a few more runs for him and his team!
Innings from Dhoni shows that he can bat in only one type. He is not sound in technique. Absolutetly that is not the way to play test. Any way he was the highest scorer and he should have continued till the last wicket, so thst we can atleast reach 250 .
i just cannot fathom, why sachin is called master blaster? i have hardly seen him really blast a bowler, say hitting 5 fours in one over. master blaster was vivian richards, adam gilchrist, brian lara, jayasurya, our own kapil dev etc, whom bowlers feared to bowl to. amongst the present day batsmen is sehwag,& pietersen.sachin hardly has the built to blast the ball. the metaphor-master blaster,is an indian media creation.

100% true. he never lived up to the hype. Bradman and Sehwag are true master blasters

He was a master blaster in the 90s. Now, with age and injuries his shots are gone, so he just places and times the ball these days mostly

Yes, now his obligations have changed in the Indian team. He plays sheet anchor role. Youngsters should come forward and follow his footsteps showcasing sachin's 90s' form
mYHYAll because we have best batsman now interested in 100th century more advt contract and bharat Ratna After all both Pawar and P Patil are their I do not remember any of his inning helped India to win match
Indian Cricket is like India under Congress Rule For all failures, Dhoni blames hectic schedules. Who is responsible? 1. Every player wants to play in all the 3 forms of cricket for the country. and IPL too. Selection board nods, BCCI nods. 2. Have you seen any one wanting to sit out of IPL? Money, Money ,Money. Some like Sachin sit out of the games crucial for the country’s record in order just to prolong the career to enhance personal records. Selection board nods, BCCI nods. 3. Injuries galore because of hectic schedules. Have you seen any one voluntarily declaring unfit before the start of a series? The injury worsens and the crucial player walks out from the middle of a series. THE ROOT CAUSE Same management persons in BCCI, in IPL and ICC too. Same pals of D Gang. Same money monger in Politics and Sports too. ICL was a private, parallel league for the game. Money Money Money attracted the jealous BCCI. IPL swallowed ICL like TITAN SWALLOWED THE WHOLE WATCH INDUSTRY IN INDIA AND NOW WALKING OUT of Watch Industry coolly TO TANISHQ. OK, Money is the great motivator. Forgive the Managements. Why not monitor selections to have feasible schedules with apt fitness of players? Why not respect the country’s records in the official Tests ,ODIs and T20s? Why not restrict IPL for retired players and young budding players and keep out the current national players? Why not make 35 plusses, even if he is Sachin, to stick to either this or that?
