Srikanth screwed the Indian cricket team
by sreenivasulu reddy on Aug 11, 2011 12:30 AM  | Hide replies

srikanth created this big mess. He didn't allow youngsters to groom and instead he started giving chances to Tamil Nadu players. All the times he gave opportunities to Dinesh karthik, Vijay Murali,Badri and Mukund. Even after heavy failures also, these 4 keep on getting the chances. Also no one knows why he selects Saha Sometimes and Parthiv Patel other times. Also the repeated chances to A Mishra and Raina.
He literally killed indian cricket and now there is no backup players. Players like Rohit Sharma, A Rayudu, Rahane, Pujara, M Tiwary, Rao, Ohja, Dhawan are not all getting any chances in Test matches. Srikanth managed to kill the quality by selecting only Tamil Nadu players. Now it is the best time to remove Srikanth before he further damages the team by selecting his Wife and son also to the team.

Reddy garu - being an andhra guy why u blame tnadu players? tell me how many players selected and not performed? The series is lost bec of 3 reasons. 1 . Continuos cricket which kills players. if you work for 7 days then 8th day u tend to do mistake. 2. IPL which is serious and no use for any players rather they r proned for injuries affecting their committment when international matches r played 3. Slap BCCI for not preparing green top pitches. Our pitch will help only spinners and pace bowlers does not enjoy since all our grounds are national highways. Understand one thing. PERFORMANCE IS TEMPORARY AND SKILL IS PERMANENT. Our players are talented and performance will come once you realise these 3 plans.

Andhra people are already destroying tamils living in Coimbatore by constructing huge hospitals and colleges and collecting piles of money. Andhra people shouyld stop sucking tamils blood and try to resolve their internal differences.

by Manish Kulkarni on Aug 11, 2011 12:23 AM  | Hide replies

By the time they sit down he is back in the pavilion. Total flop and has no idea where ball is coming, most clueless batsman in Indian team now, time to drop this overhyped media clown who only cares about money..that's all..his technique is getting badly exposed and he is looking more and more like flat pitch master blaster..

Spinning Pitches
by Ramachandran S on Aug 11, 2011 12:13 AM  | Hide replies

English Weather allows for their curators to preprare seaming pitches. With the hot weather year around in India in most places, dry and cracked pitches are what are to be expected in India. I see no point in trying to prepare a seaming and bouncing pitch in India. It is Not so much the bounce that undid India in England for otherwise they would have failed in AUS and SA.I would be in favor of BCCI preparing spinning tracks (NOT FLAT TRACKS) and atleast have something called homefield advantage, instead of trying to match up with ENG and AUS. After all, if a team wants to be number 1, they should be good on quick/bouncy/seaming and slow/low/turning pitches as well. We would then know which team is more number 1 than most.

Basically the top 7 batsmean, except Dravid, were un prepared and that's the biggest issue.

No one can tell like of Sachin to get prepared for the biggest series. He is around for years and he should know what he had to do.

all test centers have good seaming pitches....but BCCI, captain n team member never allow the curator to prepare a "sporting " pitch.....IND "under prepare" pitches....deteriorating mud tracks....not quality test pitches...it's going on for ages.....spinning pitch means under prepared mud track....not traditional spinning tracks like chennai.....every oitch has been destroyed in india to suit flat pitch bullies and spinners except mohali.....

Whats wrong with this team ....
by Arv Singh on Aug 10, 2011 11:03 PM  | Hide replies

The bunch of losers remind me of the 1971 Indian team led by Ajit Wadekar. What are the chances they will beat Wadekar's record of 44 Runs - lowest runs in an inning posted by India? All we need now is an Indian player cought stealing socks from Marks & Spencers a la Sudhir Nayak, a proud Maharashtrian

That was the 1974 Wadekar team? - the 1971 Wadekar team were winners...

The score was 42 all out - only person not out was Solkar 18 n.o. ( a Maharashtrian too) while the rest of India laid the eggs.

That match also started the myth and filth of Indian spin led by Bedi - ending in the ignominous defeats at Kingston (Bedi and co. too scared to bat) and the humiliation at the hands of a second grade Aussie team in 1977 and then the humiliation in Pak when Imran destroyed Bedi. Gavaskar a proud Maharashtrian scored a century in both innings.

Check the proud Bedi's record in that series.

I must say I like the theory of rest of India -

when Sachin plays well, he is Indian
when Sachin fails, he is Marathi.

Actually confirms a lot of things about rest of India to me. BTW I was never a Sachin fan. My favs are Gavaskar(by far) and Laxman.

Can't hang this disaster on Marathis - no matter how much you try. So keep trying.

Sachin is Marathi for me when he succeeds or fails. Just like Lax is Telugu for me or Drav is Kannada.

I don't change my cap based on their score like you do.

Eknath Solkar was a great player and very alert fielder at forward short leg. Bedi, Chandrashekhar, and Prasanna owe a lot to Solkar for taking impossible catches.

Its collective failure that reflects the substance between the two ears of Dhoni. It's clear that it was Gary Kirsten whose tactical strategy took India to number one position. Once Gary is gone, Dhoni looks devoid of ideas.
