Bunch of losers ....
by Arv Singh on Aug 10, 2011 08:22 PM  | Hide replies

Batting order surrendered unashamedly. The hodgepodge of aging batsmen and misfits are an embarrassment.

Virender Sehwag: How Indian selectors and captain think that Sehwag can come with no preparation and rescue their "Laaj"? He is clearly out of touch.

Gautam Gambhir: He starts well then fizzles out in 30s. Need longer innings from him.

Rahul Dravid: We probably seeing the last of the "Wall". He leaves a big gap in batting but we won't miss the dropped catches in the slip.

VVS Laxman: Still reliable and chips in when team needs him. BCCI should organize a benefit game for Laxman and give him a nice send-off.

Sachin Tendulkar: The greatest batsman of all times looks so checked out. Wait for his retirement announcement as soon as he gets his next century.

Suresh Raina: He has spent all his credit and failed miserably in test matches. Scores of 3 10 0 82 27 53 12 50 8 0 78 12 1 33 4) in last two series with an average of 21.73 does not merit team selection.

Abinav Mukund: The embarrassment from Tamilnadu flopped despite support from K Shrikkanth. Can someone explain how this guy made it to the team? I bet he has an Anna or an Amma somewhere helping his cause.

Mahendra S Dhoni: May be he should stop keeping wickets. His leadership skills lay exposed since Kirsten is gone. Insulting his teammate & his dead father was cheap and bowling in a test match very pathetic.

Good one, but I must say the Dropped catches associateD WITH Dravid were actually Dhoni's catches. Out of four catches dropped at Lords, three were DHoni's and fairly simply for any wicket keeper if he knows how to dive..

Greatest batsman of all time is a bit too much to digest otherwise a nice posting. Anway, what I could predict and it would happen with 99% correctness is Tendulkar would score a century in this match in the second innings, India would have a defeat by 7 wickets or so but the rest of the country ean would go nuts with Sachin's century as if the adulation for him is in short supply, the idiot trio Shastri Vogle andGgavaskar wud be in "sachin bhajan" mode for "nth time" and the batsman wud never retire gracefully as the BCCI is his personal property. Axe as always wud fall on very very special and Dravid - things wud be hunky-dory for Gambhir Sehwag Harbhajan and the rest. Dhoni could be a victim too and so wud be Yuvraj. Next there wud be a got up series and all the minnows wud be in pick form - black money wud continue to roll in - everything else is forgotten.

Why u north indians keep on hating tamil people? If you dont like tamils, why you allow them to live? So many north indians who are given lot of chances couldnt succeed at highest level, but you cannot like giving chances to tamils. Come on India. Its your way of hatred patriotism?

When India beat England in their home soil in 2007, a maarthi called Jaffer and a tamil called dinesh karthik gave good starts at top of order. but wat about now?

Tendulkar is really a team player since he is giving team company in dressing room, not selfish like Dravid playing for his own records !!

Mr Ram! Just because he had the 1st poor series in last 3 year he became liability..Name one batsmen who didnt have a poor series in last 1 year.. Rahul is an awesome player, love him before this and WI series he was flop for last 2 years so that means he was a liability too... Who else is doing the job for India why you people just blame one guy huh.. You guys are not Indian.. He single handed put India on the map of the world in sports for last 20 years.. No other guy is so popular than him. Be an Indian and be proud of what he has achieved instead of bashing him you sick guys...

are you crazy or what? He has been miles better than any other batsman so far on this tour. I would drop Tendulkar before him tbh.

This same Dravid casually scored two hundreds in the first two tests of this series . You dont become the second highest scorer in tests by scoring casually . The ball which bowled him was an absolute dream ball , pitching on off stump and straightening past the outside edge . The best a batsman can hope for is to edge it away softly away from the slips . You may be biased but that doesn't give you the right to make false statements .

Whenever he scores a century, India loses.

Wow.. What a genius..

Sure, He should have gottn out in single digit like every one else and the test would have been over in 2 days. And India would have set a world record by loosing both the test with highest margin..

Sachin should retire
by pradeep agarwal on Aug 10, 2011 05:53 PM  | Hide replies

The way he has batted in this crucial series is a clear indication that his form has finally deserted him.It is really depressing to see the way he is scalp by English speedsters who are simply enjoying at his cost.It is time to hang the boots & let Kohli develop as India's future number 4.He is now hanging on 7 denying a youngster chance in Indian team

The youngster will do much worse than him. Until pitches which assist bounce and seam bowling arent developed in India, its impossible to expect youngsters to play well overseas. They will need years of exposure like Dravid, Laxman to play well in those conditions.
Till then India will keep losing like they did in 90s.
