if no.1 team cant score 180 runs while chasing to win against the 10th ranked team like wi, then its difficult to get victory against the eng side. just keep quiet n boast of our number 1 status.
All batters (except Rahul, VVS & Sachin) played in the 1st two tests don't have the class to play in a pitch where ball swings (Till now whenever they played in a turning track or green top they have failed.)And no team can win a test match with 3 batters...On flat track they are hero but in difficult situation they are zero...Even in WI, we won the series 1-0. To me that's was not a good result, as we r No-1 & they r No-7. So the same story continues but in a slightly different way...

56 out of 158 runs in second innings, and u say "what did he do?", funny :) 1st test we cant comment because of viral fever. Sachin scored 142 in 4 innings, laxman scored 124 in 4 innings. if u remove both of them, only dravid played well (i am not denying that). what about our pseudo batsman called dhoni?

1. Too much money involved in the game 2. Brimming with over-confidence and over-smartness 3. Mentally weak, and extremely overrated players apart from Rahul Dravid 4. Sachin's presence and a 'stupid record' called - 100th century... huh, who cares about it anyways!!

Agastya, u sound like digvijay singh (also sunil vaidya in rediff board).
No guts. No preparation. No killer instinct. No desire. No class. Plenty of excuses though. India really lost this series in the last test against the WI when they refused to go for a win. A pathetically generous recall of Bell, I should imagine b'cos of Rahul Dravid not Dhoni, and not reciprocated or nor will be by Strauss or Flower despite their protestations and comments.

Having a positive attitude and getting up from where you have fallen is a different thing, but all that you have said nothing but rubbish.
Absense of shewag is definately one of the reason for Indias defeat , but if you have a look at the final outcome of both the test matches .... Its the performance of Matt Prior (ENG WK ) and non porformance of Dhoni(Ind WK) that made the difference.
Dravid , Yuv / Raina made runs and Ishant /Praveen Kumar/Sreeshant did take wickets at par with Pitersen /Bell/Trot & Anderson/Broard/Bresan
