Firsty I wud like to state that though Dhoni did the right thing by calling back Bell, but I have no no hesitation in saying that he was out. He left the crease starting the 4th run but stopped in the middle in the hope that it was a 4. It was entirely his fault and rather the Eng team should have shown the sporting spirt by not sending Bell and also giving a statement to this effect rather than showing angry gestures and adding fuel to the fire.
As regards the match, we are completely outplayed in both the tests. though we had moments but v cud not capitalise. Except for Dravid all failed, taking 5 for 100 odd runs is not gud bowling. compare them to English bowlers and v wil c the difference.
Further I think the seeds for this were sown in West Indies itself where instead going for a win in the last test, India calmy played for a draw despite having a meagre total to chase and sufficient batting left. Champion (No.1) teams are ruthless, like Australia. They always played for a win and thrashed almost every team during their tenure as No.1 whereas India are contended with a 1-0 win in a series and with this mindset u are bound to suffer. It is very unbecoming of a No.1 team and Dhoni who, I feel, is very attacking captain.
Lastly I feel its time for Harbhajan to be dropped. He is not delivering and even his good performances were with the bat rather than bowl. If v can't bowl out tailenders v can't save a test, what to talk of winning. v need to pull up. Gud luck

BCCI time to tour ZIMBABWE /Kenya
by raja gopal on Aug 02, 2011 11:59 AM

BCCI act fast,Time to tour to Zim/Kenya.To get master blaster century.Master blaster can score only there.Shame to say we are Team #1 and WC winners.Play good cricket/get lost. Can't BCCI find good 11 cricket players from the highly populated INDIA. Wait and learn from CHINESE when they start playing cricket. They will be Number 1 once they start playing cricket.

Throw Harbhajan bring Mishra,If Zaheer cant play ask him to return to INDIA by economy class (cheap flight) and get admitted to some Government hospital in Mumbai.

Current team India and its performance is stupid.

Australia became that champion team over time. India has just started its journey, if at all there is one. These are hiccups and if you learn to deal with it, you can stay at top. Lets see how we do.

I think its Veeru's absense made all this difference

No matter he fails in some inning but he try to dominate the bowlers from the word go

he never allow bowlers to get set in good rythem

whereas mukund & rahul both play defensive game and never try to dominate the bowlers

if veeru is not fit for 3rd test one opener should go for his shots from word go

England opening pair is also not doing any better, but England has won two tests.
Any team which has better bowling unit will wins matches consistently. That is the fact.

Bhajji should be rested
by dhruv purohit on Aug 02, 2011 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

Hi friends all over who wish good for the indian team and its success. I strongly feel even though we have lost 2 tests back to back there is still plenty of scope for fight back. We need application in the batting. We are missing Viru badly without any shadow of doubt. I hope the batsmen in the team look at dravid's gutts and plan their innings ahead. i am very much annoyed with harbhajan Singh still in the line mere on his reputation. Agrred he has over 400 wickets but on current form he is no where close to win you matches. Players should be picked on form not reputations. Bhaji deservs a break to enjoy the game more and get the fire to return with a bang.
