Don't make a mockery of this great game Mr. Dhoni
by Ian Chappell on Aug 01, 2011 12:55 PM  | Hide replies

I think India should stop playing test cricket. Making Mockery of game i.e. playing with virtually 3 bowlers, wicketkeeper bowling (as if playing a benefit match for X cricketer), obscure runout of a batsman who was going pavilion. Please either you guys don't respect this game called 'Test Cricket' or it is a Liability on you to play it just for the sake of playing test !
Indian team is looking as if they come on a picnic and chill out campaign ! I can understand Zaheer was unfit in the first test and on first day, first session !!! but again here Harbhajan sing is injured ? IS THIS THE NO. 1 TEAM ?? Its all because of this 20-20 baseball cricket ! The connoisseurs like us just think about old days when facing hostile fast bowling of Lilli, Thomson, Garner, Marshall, Holding, Imran, Wasim, Walsh, Ambrose, Donald, McGrath on bouncy track was called TEST CRICKET...which test not your ability and technique but you CHARACTER !!

Don't make mockery of this great game Mr. Dhoni...If you are bored of playing Test cricket (because of lake of inspiration and fatigue) leave it but don't play it like this !!

INDIAN MEDIA IS ANTI INDIA
by prajyoth pradeep on Aug 01, 2011 12:54 PM  | Hide replies

Naseer Hussain said it was a DISGRACE INDIA didn't take the DRS. First of all Harbhajan Singh was given out despite a huge inside edge then Naseer Hussain says it is a disgrace that Indian board has not taken the DRS. You can imagine how pissed off any Indian would get. Then Ravi Shastri gave it back to him after the match in the studio, saying, "who was he to call India a disgrace, HE (Naseer) is jealous we are NO.1, the English are jealous we are No.1 in tests and are World Champions, every time you pick up a paper you see the British press only hitting at BCCI and the Indian team negatively. They have never been Bloody no.1 in test cricket so he can't take the face we are ruling cricket and we have IPL."
This statement is no where to be seen in the Indian Media... because... because the Indian media has also been criticising the team in the same manner. Remember the Times of India article "Endulkar" back in 2006-07 saying Tendulkar should retire when he was not getting big runs that is centuries, even though he was scoring reasonably.

it is certainly false news, hussain is NOT ENDORSING DRS for sake of india, WAKE UP AND SMELL ROSEs, he even got his children involved in this BS.

there are better ways than DRS, 6 cameras, high resolution and fastest frame available in Japan and korea for each team to record proceedings separately.

that will be enough for umpires to review.

I agree with Naseer Hussain. Why not take DRS as if every technology is 100% back home. Naseer wud hav actually called it a disgrace coz back home we have 50% quality and want 100% DRS quality. I support you Naseer. Praveen wud hav got the wicket of trott who plumb out and broad no hat-trick as that decision was pathetic to say the least. Our own bowlers are let down by dhoni not taking DRS. Till India agrees for DRS umpires pls continue to give such shoddy decisions. Gr8 decision by India to recall Bell. WI cricket learn from India and do not get batsmen out in the cheap fashion you did for Laxman. Vaughan you do not deserve any comment from me as well as you are no good cricketer in first place. Bhajji stop pretending if you are not in form admit and pave way for others. Sachin sir prove urself against quality bowling in difficult circumstances and not either

videshis want technology to give them superiority
by D S on Aug 01, 2011 12:53 PM  | Hide replies

Vaseline controversy indicates WHY ANGREZ WANTED DRS.

no doubt, DRS tech. and umpire did help Peitersen score double hundred and boost Angrez confidence so they can hit indian bowlers like T20.

aggression on Laxman shows the intent and pre-planned moves. Angrez were studying all the batting moves by indians and give no chance to indian even if the BALL IS 1 millimeter away by using TECHNOLOGY.

ANGREZ are using automated technology calibration to trap india by tech.
Not much different from how business and miltary technology was/is used between india, pak, china, etc after they divided everyone on contentious religion and boundary issues..
All videshis apply the same policies as friendly blocks or opposing blocks.

this was the planning behind DRS and india agreed for partial DRS to fall into that trap.
even worse, the angrez want to use technology bashing to make laxman loose confidence. what a pParasite and rRodent race this has become.

there is enough varnish on each bat. so what the f are they blaming laxman for, just to shake his confidence.

We have to uphold the dignity of the nation and the spirit of the game, no matter we loose the game or loose the rankings. Kudos to the team for such a great gesture...
