By focussing too much on the bell issue & vaseline issue, india will be crushed by a huge margin by england

Dhoni the 'Street Cricketer' (not Street Smart)
by Ian Chappell on Aug 01, 2011 01:08 PM  | Hide replies

I think India should stop playing test cricket. Making Mockery of game i.e. playing with virtually 3 bowlers, wicketkeeper bowling (as if playing a benefit match for X cricketer), obscure runout of a batsman who was going pavilion. Please either you guys don't respect this game called 'Test Cricket' or it is a Liability on you to play it just for the sake of playing test !
Indian team is looking as if they come on a picnic and chill out campaign ! I can understand Zaheer was unfit in the first test and on first day, first session !!! but again here Harbhajan sing is injured ? IS THIS THE NO. 1 TEAM ?? Its all because of this 20-20 baseball cricket ! The connoisseurs like us just think about old days when facing hostile fast bowling of Lilli, Thomson, Garner, Marshall, Holding, Imran, Wasim, Walsh, Ambrose, Donald, McGrath on bouncy track was called TEST CRICKET...which test not your ability and technique but you CHARACTER !!

Don't make mockery of this great game Mr. Dhoni...If you are bored of playing Test cricket (because of lake of inspiration and fatigue) leave it but don't play it like this !!

who checked (or licked) the bat of Laxman for Vaseline should have also licked the bat of Harbhajan to confirm whether there was bat first in his LBW appeal. The success has gone to his head other wise how this bachcha of cricket can insult a senior & respected batsman like Laxman on the ground?

2nd test
by MURALI on Aug 01, 2011 01:04 PM  | Hide replies

any how India is going to lose 2nd test like the first. So Dhoni would have decided to call back Bell. by doing so, in the history of cricket, he will be great, but at the same time when India loses also nobody will be blaming him. ha ha ha murali bangalore

So what about Bhajji???
by pallu banjo on Aug 01, 2011 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

Broad's hat trick comprised Bhajji's first wicket where he was really not out. But he was given out by the umpire, third umppire and the fourth umpire as well. Why didnt the English coach and others try to be honest and call Bhajji back "in the spirit of the game"

cunningness is a different trait. India is not progressing because we are NOT kKILLING THE CORRUPT. it is lack of chivalry.

yes...they knew bhajji had nicked it , broad must've surely known that...erasmus gave bhajji out, but broad didn't call bhajji back to bat before his next delivery even when it was shown on the big screen...talk about spirit of cricket!

there are better ways than DRS, 6 cameras, high resolution and fastest frame available in Japan and korea for each team to record proceedings separately.

that will be enough for umpires to review.
