what are you talking? sachin never tampered the ball, it was racist mike denness who found fault with as many as 6 indians in that match, and sachin has never claimed bumped catches. that's reserved for australians..steve waugh (bumped catch of srikanth, lara etc.) , ricky ponting etc..

i'm not fan of tendulkar you moron, you must be a moron to say he tampered the ball , it was an unnecessary blot on tendulkar by denness

about catches, sachin mostly always asks the umpire for a review as he's not sure if the catch is bumped. while you are at it please watch steve waugh claiming bumped catches

No , it means we dont follow them in matters of cunning . India has its own values and will stick to it however cunning the opposition is . Of course , Dhoni doesnt speak for the whole of India . There are many here who are willing to follow the west in this regard .

Mr.Dhoni, do the job for what u r paid for. this is the easy way to collect sympathy and publicity and may get an ad related to Indian culture- we believe in participation not win, like Olympic and world cup football and cricket in foreign soil.

That is what he is doing from past 3 years. Can't you accept one defeat as a true cricket lover? Why to make so much pressure on indian side while they are already missing Gambhir, Zaheer and Sehwag like players.

If it were Australian team
by himamshu on Aug 01, 2011 12:32 PM  | Hide replies

Ian Bell would have been declared out, since Ricky Ponting would never reverse the Umpire's decision.

There would be a huge controversy.

That may be true , but that doesnt mean India needs to do all the unsportsmanly things that Australians do .

The decision to correct a mistake requires inner strength. I congratulate the Indian team for the decision. After all the gentleman's game has been seen in days of all corrupts around.

That doesn't matter. Atleast we are proved to be a gentleman. 20 runs wouldn't make that much difference. It seems we are going to loose this one anyways.

INDIAN MEDIA IS ANTI INDIA
by prajyoth pradeep on Aug 01, 2011 12:30 PM  | Hide replies

Naseer Hussain said it was a DISGRACE INDIA didn't take the DRS. First of all Harbhajan Singh was given out despite a huge inside edge then Naseer Hussain says it is a disgrace that Indian board has not taken the DRS. You can imagine how pissed off any Indian would get. Then Ravi Shastri gave it back to him after the match in the studio, saying, "who was he to call India a disgrace, HE (Naseer) is jealous we are NO.1, the English are jealous we are No.1 in tests and are World Champions, every time you pick up a paper you see the British press only hitting at BCCI and the Indian team negatively. They have never been Bloody no.1 in test cricket so he can't take the face we are ruling cricket and we have IPL."
This statement is no where to be seen in the Indian Media... because... because the Indian media has also been criticising the team in the same manner. Remember the Times of India article "Endulkar" back in 2006-07 saying Tendulkar should retire when he was not getting big runs that is centuries, even though he was scoring reasonably.

The media is searching for sensational news everywhere and truth or moderation doesnt seem to figure in their plans . Having said that , I also feel that it is a disgrace that BCCI did not agree to DRS for LBW . BCCI said that they were opposed to Hawkeye as they felt the ball tracking technology wasnt precise . Fine , but why are they reluctant to use replays and Hotspot also for LBWs ? Harbhajan would not have been given out if BCCI had agreed to Hotspot for LBWs . Its not as if they dont trust Hotspot either , they have agreed to use it for edged catches so why not for LBWs . The umpire made a mistake but he is human . Technology was introduce to reduce the mistakes he makes . If BCCI doesnt allow that technology to be used for some unknown reason ( probably ego ) , then we have only them to blame for decisions like Harbhajans going uncorrected .
