Chapell's curse in blessing
by vamsidhar dhoddoji on Apr 09, 2011 12:09 AM

Chapell is the one who had spoiled the cricket team in 2007 or esle at least or team should have gone to semis.Destroyed irfan pathan from bowler to nowhere.Helped the team to exit from 2007 before second round itself.Destroyed team's unity and belief.Probably he might have felt that indians might be competeitors to Aussies in 2007 so he indirectly helped them.
If somebody says wright and Gary were good coaches we can accept readily but not that demon Chapell who destroyed team's unity and made it exit early by helping aussies.

Indian Team at present
by SONA on Apr 08, 2011 07:15 PM

This team is made by Saurav Ganguly including spirit. But nobody bothered including Dhoni who is suffering to take place a team member of own state, from that position he got help from Saurav and no body knows that time who is Dhoni. Today Every body knows Dhoni and Some people like Dhoni forgot this GOD who made Team India. Bad luck for Indian Cricket lovers.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT

GREG CHAPPEL has spoiled the Australia team as a chief selector.
Since Australia became the worst team India has no way but to become champion.
Definitely credit goes to GREG CHAPPEL

Chappel destroyed Indian team!!!!!!!!!!
by S Narain on Apr 08, 2011 01:02 PM

He is SOB appointed by corrupt BCCI to destroy Indian team....result India thrown out in first round in 2007 WC...Aussies are bullshit coaches for Indian team...

Allan border predicted Srilanka victory..

Lawson predicted paki victory.both are Aussies

No wonder Indians are killed left, right and center in Asutralia...

Throw away Aussi coaches from IPL..let them go and find jobs with pakis or SRK(paki at heart)

But he put the team's interest first
by raman jain on Apr 08, 2011 06:54 AM  | Hide replies

Greg asked Sachin to drop down the order. If that were to happen, Sachin's records would have suffered. With the records also the ads and other benefits would suffer. That was not going to happen in an Indian set up. Therefore Greg had to go. Sachin will never leave the opener's slot in favour of a younger player. Gambhir muted resentment against same was mentioned in an interview just before the WC final.

except that the batting order is the captain's decision, not the coach. greg chappell could not switch from being a captain to being a coach, and ended up mixing both.

after 2003 India was looked upon as champions for 2007
by abbey K on Apr 08, 2011 06:46 AM  | Hide replies

When india lost to Australia in final of 2003, everyone felt that India had reached closer to top spot. And wished 2007 world cup will be of India. Thanks to Chapell and saurav that wasnt to happen. And now someone is standing up and claiming chapell's contribution in India's win. As if India was hopeless team before chapell took over. Nonsense !!!!!!!
