They had all easy matches till the finals and they boast as if they are too strong, srilankas cannot see themselves beyond that chucker malinga, if any team has a game plan for malinga srilanka can even be chased 350 easily as they dont have any other bowler, and the way sangakara told after winning the toss(second time) said what ever they put on board will be enough , f.... he deserves this trash and needs more as they always have a big head.

All this they are doing to save their skin and get the sympathies. Don't try to live on sympathies but ensure you are praised always and accept defeat courageously.
Don't be a coward and run away from reality, develop the strength to face it.THIS IS MY PIECE OF ADVICE TO ALL LOSERS

What does one expect from a team of eleven who are nothing but a bunch of "Chuckers & Cheaters". To hell with all of them, cheating at the toss, abusing Virat Kohli when he got out, chucking the ball (expertise Murlitharan) & poor records. They will never win a World Cup ever.

ok let's put it this way (purely going by your theory).. the icc president and bcci made sure that the format be good to get asian teams such as india in final.. so they put india along with holland, bangladesh and ireland. so three wins will easily take them to quarter. next time it's round robin - all teams playing against each and top 4 will make it to semis. let's see the so called world beaters (oh so harbhajan doesnt chucks and cheats, sreesanth never abuses anyone, zaks is such a good boy that he says i love u after each ball?, and vira kohli just says bc(hindi) after each ball..huhh..all chuckers and cheaters again as per your standards).. well all i said was on ur theory; i dont believe we r bad.. and don't believe lankans r chuckers and cheaters.. they played good cricket..stop ur nonsense

Lanka is a great team. Sanga and Mutthiah are great players. Lankans are damn serious about their cricket not like the Pak fixers and some of the Indian cricketers. In Lanka the infrastructure for cricket is relatively well developed and inspite of having a small population produce great cricketers. I dont like Dillu at all, he is likely the next captain which is a mistake. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country too!

Match Fixing - Dont think so
by Ashish Ramrakhiani on Apr 06, 2011 05:45 PM  | Hide replies

1. India won 3 difficult games in the Knockout stage. Fixing all three top teams is very difficult.
2. India was favourates with Bookies. More people had put thier money on India. Hence Indian loss would have been in Bookies favour. If any money was given by bookies (which is huge), it would be for Indian Loss.
3. Riaz would not have taken 5 wickets, Jayawardane would not have scored a century. Also Sanga wouldnt have cheated during Toss.

WORLD CUP
by desikan kannan on Apr 06, 2011 05:35 PM

The Sri Lankans had played like champions to reach the final. Even in the final they played extremely well but it's just that India played much better to win the World Cup. Instead of making a Harakiri about the loss, they should feel extremely Happy for having entertained the spectators. They have world class Players like Sanga, Mahela and Mallinga. They have nothing to feel ashamed about in losing to India, since the day belonged to Gambhir, Dhoni and India. May be the disappointment of losing the second final in a row is too much to bear. But they need to rise from the defeat. They are a good team and they have always played excellent cricket in the true spirit of the game and they should look to the future.
