You can expect Tendulkar or any good batsman to score 100 for record . what was more important while playing against dark horse like pakistan to contribute to their level best which exactly the Team India did in spectacular manner. Being an experience cricketer. Bedi must understand that it was not easy to bat on Mohali pitch especially against spinners. Despite of full aware of this, Tendulkar still took the risk, and survived four chances, and those four chances was the turning point to get India win. After all Fortune favor fools.

even i can score 18k runs if i play 400 odd matches...lets give opportunity to the new generation...oldies must go...odi is for young legs like vinay kumar,pandey,RP Singh, Karthik....karthik not getting a chance coz of selfish dhoni...dhoni knows that karthik is a better player than him

Many Test playing teams would pledge a billion if not more to have a player like Sachin Tendulkar..he was born to bat...he is an institution..when he retires..I guess other teamns will sigh a releif..actually there goes a saying, when you have functional eyes, you don't realize the importance of vision...he is a gem God-gifted Indian genius and will always remain..the whole world acknowledges ..many ravi mehtas will come an go..like dogs on street...even their pups won't recognize them after some time..get lost

Like Milkha singh who thinks he's the greatest athlete of all time, Bedi thinks he is the greatest cricketer ever. His record is OK, not an exceptional one on those uncovered pitches. Only thing most of the other countries didn't have concept of spinner that time.

bedi ji is one of the all time greats...he is a spin guru..if he would have been in this team nw, he could have easily taken 7-8 wickets..sardars r the greatest...india is alive coz of sardars..our sardars r protecting our boundary

It is not against Sardars. Harbhajan is sardar and so does I think Yuvi too. Their contribution is immense in current lot.

Cant imagine somebody saying "Other countries didnt have concept of spinners that time" I think Jim Laker played some 5-15 years before India started playing and continued for a long time. Ever heard of Bill O reilly who played for 3 countries and took around 145 wickets in under 30 matches. Know and then write

india should drop kohli or gambhir and accomodate pathan, and raina should come at no. 3. This will add to the solidarity of the team
In Semi finals Umar gul who was keeping good line and length throughout the series was pretty ordinary against India Shahid Afridi who was taking lot of wickets did not take any wicket against India Younus Khan played a poor innings Misbah capable of accelerating the scoring waited till the required run rate reach beyond control Fielders dropped as many as 4 catches
I hink the time has come to make a change in batting order. Lets play yousuf in place of Virat who has failed in this world cup after his 100 in first game.
At No. 4 its better to have yuvraj and the spin attack which Sri Lanka has Yousuf could be useful and Mumbai Track is always helpful for spinners which gives him an edge over Virat.
