Ponting Drama will a big expo to their real intention !!!
by historyrepeats on Oct 12, 2010 05:57 PM

No matter how good CRICKETERS PERFORM.

Everyone look at them with cynical eyes. Over exposure of Cricket throguh Media is a real root of this problem.

Just go to any street, no body stops to watch cricket . Ever shop keepers hardly take pain to open the Channel showing Cricket.

IPL 3 sponsors should take cognizance of this fact before investing their money for publicity purpose.

Big Drama over Cricket is a thing of past now. No one trust Cricket or Cricketers now. They feel hitting Tonne is a fabricated story.

When Sachin fails, India loose ??
by polle kande on Oct 12, 2010 05:41 PM

Baki 10 kya zak marate hain.. It's team game for Sachin every run, there was non-striker running to complete that run. So chilled out. Let team shares victories & losses, not individuals

Batting in teams second innings myth and truth
by sanjay on Oct 12, 2010 05:39 PM

Test sides second innings averages of some top class batsman in tests
Those who bat higher up the order upto one down or two down.

Kallis 58.37 SR 43.23 higher avarage poor strike rate.
Sachin 43.98 SR 53.95 balanced
Ponting 43.58 SR 57.80 balanced
Dravid 43.28 SR 40.42 balanced but still low strike rate
Lara 38.18 SR 54.09 Balanced with low average
Sehwag 30.35 SR 78.33 poorest avarage highest strike rate.

Now those bat down the order i.e. at three down or four down.

Laxman 50.47 SR 50.93 balanced ( first innings average 45.67 )
Inzamam 46.97 SR 54.67 balanced ( first innings average 51.23 )

Batting lower chances of remaining not out are more and facing new ball and fresh Bowlers is less.
But batting in deteriorated pitch are more specially in fourth innings.

Logic classes for some masses

India always needs Sachin when he fails...

so strange logic says
Sachin always fails if India needs him ...lol

Minimal contributions from Dhoni
by Adi Mehta on Oct 12, 2010 05:37 PM  | Hide replies

Wish Dhoni would play at least one captain's knock like Ponting does every time. Dhoni has hardly contributed in the last series against Sri Lanka and in the current Australia series. Everytime it is left to Sachin, Sehwag or Laxman to bail us out and Dhoni just gets the credit. He's a shadow of his old self and needs to get back to the basics again, both in his batting and 'keeping.

adi mehta, ponting comes in 3rd position. dhoni comes in 7th position. how much do you expect from dhoni when most of the times it is the bowlers with whom he has to bat.

even then he has 40 plus average as batsman overall and 50 plus average as captain.

in spite of doing so much people like you dont appreciate him.

some people are never satisfied.

Don't waster their time, energy and importantly money.

Such cameo Knocks in form of centuries are designed to pull customers towards them.

Cricket is a business. Industrialist involvement has proved it.

I agree too.. But still, its too demanding for a player like Dhoni to do it when we have 6 pure batsmen in the team..
