Does anyone know the reason why hockey has been made the national game?

Just because we were performing well in hockey at some point, it has been made a national game. That is a mistake in my opinion. National sport should have some connection with the nation - maybe it should have originated in the nation.

Despite getting a double ton, for which Tendulkar was playing, this Test too, as has been the case with all Sachin’s record-scoring innings, will either be drawn or India will lose. What a shame.

Draw? How can you chase 400 plus in fourth innings and hope for a draw? Can you please explain?

Innings of Ricky Ponting was an immense pleasure that has set the match up nicely. One enjoys such brave and aggressive approach and not record for the record books.

Very well said. India is really very weak team. Scoring a mere 281 in the first innings was quite unacceptable against Australia's 478.
My suggestion is we must include Sachin Tendulkar in the Indian team to be able to compete against Australia. What say? :)

Its a clear proof for sachin's ability to perform on pitches where others fails to perform. For this he should be appreciated. Good work sachin, keep going.....

Having broken all the records, there is only one record which is yet to be to Sachin's credit - maximum runs in an inning. With due respect,I am strongly of the opinion that the award PLAYER OF THE CENTURY given to Kapil Dev three years back by WISDON must have been given to SACHIN. - Lalit

Sixth double hundred
by Ashish Kumar on Oct 12, 2010 06:16 PM

The sixth double hundred would have been seventh if only Dravid had not mindlessly declared when Sachin was on 196.

Anything around 200 is dangerous to chase down with pitch getting worse. Aussis have a good record in bangalore. Ponting's innings could become decisive..wait n watch.

Karnataka HC has adjourned till 18th, cornering Congress to take a decision. The Congress Governor, the Congress Home Minister etc are making all possible unconstitutional moves to threaten yeddy.HM has no business to talk till Union cabinet takes a decision. A child can understand that A Governor can ask for proving majority within 6 months, if a fresh minority count is created and not the next day of a count.GUV is playing politics from the day one.Congress is becoming a laughing stock.
