He got man of the tournament award in WC03, while Ponting receive the trophy. While receiving it, Ponting said that in team Australia we believe in team glory and not in individual glory...

because that cheat ponting was seeing dreams of surpassing sachin, nd it was his jealousy that spoke....because he is not even 10% of the master.

agree with you sameer. i dont know what all other suckers in the team did. first mistake ganguly opts for bowling insteady of batting which was our main strength in 2003, Zaheer and other bowlers fail pathetically, and australia end up with 360. there no way one can beat them with that score, even if tendulkar scored 200. idi*ts on this forum doesnt understand that.

Your comment is total naive. All of Aussies players play well as a team, is it Sachin's fault that he does not get that support from our team? He is trying his best to win matches for India, but what about others?
Re: Selfish Sachin
by samir mitra on Oct 11, 2010 08:57 PM
according to these so called sachin haters, they think themselves to be having great knowledge of cricket, but none of them are even capable of polishing the shoes of the maestro
World cup is important, i do not think sachin will help India in winning the World cup, as he had not done in previous World cup tournaments. It is only since last 2 or 3 years, he his scoring more hundreds, to save his place in the team.

yes mr aijaz u do infact hav a short memory. any player good enuf to score "more hundreds just to save his place in the team" need not be spoken about further. he is the god of cricket so lets just sit back and enjoy without commenting without knowledge of the game.

In WC03, Sachin failed to deliver in the finals. He was out for 4. In 2007, he failed to deliver in all the matches, even against Bangladesh. What more evidence is needed?

You are right. In WC 03 finals Sachin was defeated by Roger Federer 0-6,1-6,2-6.... He should have taken at least one set into the tie-breaker as he had done in the semi-final against Rafael Nadal... ;-)

sachin needs to cement his place in the team?? rotfl!! i guess either ur new to the game or an absolutely ignorant fool. and what about the 2003 WC where he almost single handedly took india into the finals. it ain't his fault if the bowlers concede 359 in the final and expect sachin to bail india out from there.

"to save his place in the team" ...hahahaahahahahahaha This is the most idiotic comment I have heard in long time. Cricket is not for you., go and watch CWG.
Re: Cricket
by n pramod on Oct 11, 2010 07:25 PM
Pujara needs to be in the team. dont judge him by one innings. there is no way we can build a team if we give up on good players with one innnings. need to get rid of yuvraj, dravid, , bajji, and zaheer as soon as possible. time to move on. lets give more chances to pujara, rahane, vijay, badrinath, rayudu, tiwari etc as they are all have same potential as fab4 and need some chances. they can serve india for atleast 10 years.
Re: Cricket
by zindaa hoon on Oct 11, 2010 06:53 PM
Dravid has decided to push it to the limits. He will not quit until he is thrown out, like in the ODIs...
I used to see lot of filthy comments about Srikkanth, chairman of selectors. He is very fair & square. Only in his period INDIA become no 1 status in Tests & No 2 in ODI. All the f--ls will scold him & Sachin when India loses & they will praise Dhob(n)i when India won. What is Dhoni's contribution in last match ? Less runs than Ishant & 3 dropped catches & even he did't try for some. So let those f--ls shut their mouth including meedia who is always writing against TAMILIANS.
Re: Re: Cricket
by n pramod on Oct 11, 2010 07:27 PM
second none of his selections really helped towards that. he himself accepted that pujara is the only one who got chance based on performance. what about others regional politics and money? srikanth needs to be thrown out.

Well said, but India can shine if A.Mukund,BADRI,VIJAY & KARTHIK come in their place three of whom already proved in tests that they good agaainst pace, spin & short balls unlike Yuvi & Raina.

Ppl barking that sachin is not gr8 since his fourth inning score is not the best is like saying the class topper is not actually the topper...since he never topped in a supplementry exam.
Re: 200
by zindaa hoon on Oct 11, 2010 06:49 PM
I hope he gets his 200 soon. When he didn't get it in Multan in 2004, he was so angry with Rahul Dravid..
Re: Re: Who is the great ???
by Sweta on Oct 11, 2010 07:28 PM
keeping the north & south classification apart... Sachin::: entertains us with his sweet cover drives, lofty straight drive above the bowlers head, elegant cut-shot, impeccable paddle-sweep and delicate leg-glances.
Rajinikant:::: entertains us with his ishtyle, panache, ability to pull crowd, anger, comedy and romance.
Who is the Greatest?? Well, according to me it is Rajinikant until Sachin helps us through the World Cup win.
32 runs which Raina made today were far more interesting and entertaining. I wish he could last longer... He would have livened up the match... I hope Dhoni plays a fast innings tomorrow so that India can hope to win this match...

Raina played as he plays in T20 and a score of 32 is good in T20. This is Test and should play in Test's way.
Re: Re: We need more players like Sehwag and Raina
by zindaa hoon on Oct 11, 2010 06:51 PM
Raina scored a test century on debut. He was playing fast for the team, so that India could go on the lead, and try to win the match...
Re: Re: Re: We need more players like Sehwag and Raina
by miviu on Oct 11, 2010 06:56 PM
so per ur calculations, u already proved to poor at maths, why is not batting still.. did he think that someone else will take care of the innings.. If every one played like Raina from the beginning we would have scored 300 runs in 70 overs.. Thus, Assuie would have had a lead of 170 runs and 50 overs to bat today... Can u imagine the pressure India would have had even Assues got the lead of 250-275 runs... You would understand, but only if u know test cricket.
Re: We need more players like Sehwag and Raina
by miviu on Oct 11, 2010 06:52 PM
had everybody played like Raina... Aussie would have go the lead of 180 runs by now... Raina played so freely, because he was already given good platform.. of 350/4, and not 38/2..

Yeah right Both are with talents and impetuous. They need to be more reponsible or end is neer...Veru has been thru it once..being thrown out of team.Hope it doesnt happen with Suresh now becoz there is fierce competetion out there..once u loose ur spot its hard to get into again..
Re: We need more players like Sehwag and Raina
by TheBoss on Oct 11, 2010 06:56 PM
He could do so only because of the score of the score he walked in at 350/4 and not 40/2.
All crickets bother about their centuries and slow down scores in the 90s. Only thing is we are seeing Sachin frequently in the 90s, more exactly we Sachin 121 times in the 90s. We have seen other batsman in the 90s only 50 times, so we are seeing their selfishness less.
