Dhoni does not deserve a place
by Sunil Gupta on Nov 15, 2010 05:30 AM

With 50 test and more than 75 innings, he has just scored 2500 odd runs. His average is less than 40. I think he is in the team since he is the captain. But as a batsman in test, he has not made any significant contribution. No test saving innings or winning innings in last 2 years. He is easist to get out these days. However he is one of the best in ODI or T20.

Sehwag 96, Gambhir 54 & Now Sachin...
by Sanjeev Suri on Nov 14, 2010 10:06 AM

I remember an instance when Kapil Dev was admonished and dropped for the next match
for playing a rash shot in the New Delhi test.
But, times having changed, i am sure that no such action will even be contemplated
against Sachin R Tendulkar [ vs. NZ ; Hyderabad ; 14 Nov. 2010 ]

What a horrible shot to attempt when 100 crore and more are waiting for him to make
a century. Certainly something Sachin should dwell upon now that so many of his fans
will be spending a miserable Children's Day rueing "what could have been"...

Young minds are far more impressionable than the likes of me, i am told.

only 50,000 runs HUH....
by Anonymus on Nov 13, 2010 08:59 PM  | Hide replies

"For the record, when on 169, India became the first team in the world with a cumulative aggregate of 50, 000 Test runs. And more than half of that belonged to just two players: Tendulkar and Dravid."

I was wondering, only these many runs??? if you add the runs scored by Tendul, dravid, gavaskar, laxman, ganguly, mongia, Kiran more, gambhir, dhoni, kapil, srikanth and Kambli, it easily crosses 50K runs... does that mean that others have been bowled out for DUCKSSSSS throughout... amazing facts
